Working the game so I couldn't even see most of it but I agree on all of this with Trey Burke. Reminds me a little of Chris Paul honestly with his use of the pick and roll and his shooting and the pace in which he plays at. Completely turned around on him last year and I'm all on the Trey Burke bandwagon now. I think the world of his potential.

Burke was often compared to CP3 as a prospect and while the influence is apparent, I'm still not on his bandwagon in terms of becoming a special player. Think his ceiling is more Mike Conley type caliber, not that that's a bad thing at all.

While I was posting that I was thinking about what his ceiling could be. Mike Conley wouldn't be bad at all. 18 and 6 on a perennial 50 win team is very good. I too don't know if I can see "chris paul special" in the cards for him as a player. That's one of the greatest PG's of all time, and a consistent top 5 player in this league. Don't know if Trey's peak will be that. However, I know for sure he's much better than I thought he'd be and I'd be very comfortable with him as my lead guard going forward. I think you can build a winner with him at the one.
 
Yeah, he won't ever be nearly as good. Just a myriad of similarities. Process doesn't always equal result, you know?

I trust him, though.

Doesn't have anything to do with acting tough. If you get smacked in the face & you think the guy did it on purpose then your instinctual reaction is to take issue with that, whether you're from the hood or the suburbs.

Especially if you play in the paint for 8 consecutive months & get raked across the arms & face constantly.

Staples realized that the only entertainment left in the arena is the red/white/blue so they blessed them with the theater lights.

The Lakers now deserve to play under the fluorescent lights that most LA Fitnesses carry around the country.
