games missed by "top 5" players on each team. i'm not sure by what criteria they determine "top 5" player though.
Like you stated isn't that kind of skewed then because I'm pretty sure losing KD for like 45 + games would be worth a lot more than T. Jones for however many games he missed. No shots at you

i agree. i just saw it and thought it was worth mentioning. was not at all trying to insinuate that tjones and dwight = durant in any way.

probably projected starting lineup missing any combinaton of players

i imagine that would be the case.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... how is Mike Conley better than Dame?

Because he doesn't have to take 17 shots a game to impact his team. He does so many other things on the court. He also can guard his own man and not hide him on the weakest offensive player. :pimp:

His true shooting percentage is .001% higher than Dame's.

Dame has a higher rebound rate, assist percentage, better turnover percentage, more win shares, higher PER, higher OBPM, more win shares, more points, more assists, more rebounds.

But because Mike Conley 'does so many other things on the court' he's better.

i'd take conley over dame *shrugs*

dame is a more explosive scorer, no doubt about it. however, this year he's regressed almost into a chucker from 3. add to that he's almost a defensive liability and conley isn't, i prefer conley.

look who you are talking to

You always trying to call me out like you're not part of the reason this thread sucks at times. Take your high *** post count in two months away troll.

C Chester McFloppy it goes much deeper than the numbers in itself. There are a lot of things to factor in. The teams pace, the fact that Lillard will be the #1 on most nights in Portland, minutes, etc. At the end of the day, you are comparing a player who's job is to cater to two post players and run half court offensive sets to a guy that takes the most shots on his team and is a go to guy.

I always felt like if Conley played on a team with a faster pace and a more open system that his numbers would increase quite a bit. He's just not going to wow people with his statistical output because of where he plays.

Maybe I'm wrong, but if Lillard is not scoring the ball I don't see anything else he does to impact the game. Its a different story with Conley. But, maybe you can elaborate.

On the ESPN insider poll of executives, coaches and players ranked the top 30 point guards in the NBA

1. Westbrook
2. Curry
3. CP3
4. Kyrie
5. Lillard

Guess they forgot Kyrie could barely win a game w/o Lebron this season?

Lillard's defense is too suspect to be in my top 5 as well

1. Russ / CP3 / Curry

IMO there is a substantial drop off after these 3 and a great argument can be made for all 3 to have the top spot

4. Wall
5. Lowry
6. Conley
7. Lillard
8. Kyrie
9. Bledsoe
10. Dragic
11. Teague
12. Parker

He's just scared.

In all honesty though, if Durant is back come playoff time, OKC can definitely "upset" the Warriors.

Yeah, but I'd say the prospect of Durant coming back by the playoffs and getting back to top form is looking more and more remote.

Yeah it's not like they won 29 more games that season than they did the previous year. It doesn't mean anything that after amare missed the majority of the season and Joe johnson leaving for ATL, the Suns still finished with 55 wins.

Not like they overcame a 3-1 deficit to the lakers either.

Seroiusly...dudes stay trying to rewrite history and just look at the "individual" stats as opposed to the scenarios like what you just mentioned. People seem to forget Nash lost the second best player on the team for damn near the ENTIRE year while also losing their third best player to another team too!

even if kd comes back he's not doing anything in the playoffs

dude has estrogen flowing in his veins, going to come back more shook than drose
