After Dwight left I just don't understand outside of giving Kobe that dumbass contract what more the Lakeshow could have done to change their current circumstances.
the kobe contract doesnt hurt us much since we dont need to be signing big names these few rebuilding years anyways (not to say the actual signing of the contract wasnt a bad move by our FO)

its more what they are not doing, as in they didnt trade pau away for anything and they are not trading any of the guys on the team this year to properly tank

Nothing. Except bit give nick young a4 year deal like idiots. Other than that we're in the exact same spot with the Knicks and Melo provided we keep our pick. We'll be competing with you guys not only for draft picks but the same free agents the next couple summers.

It'll be a continuous cycle of offer this max guy if he accepts cool, if not try again next year until somebody bites.

Did you see me saying hire Byron Scott?

Have you, or have you not seen me calling for Mitch's job?

Like I said, they are terrible these days, us pro tankers are praying we get lucky enough to get the picks despite their ineptness. Then we can hopefully figure the rest out. First, we need those picks. Figure out the FA's later.

And we have money, because we have cap space. That's money. Not actual cash man.

We're not the only ones with cap space though. Everyone will have it for the summer of Durant, including teams who are a helluva lot closer to contention and will be in better shape than we will even with the picks unless we pull an OKC and grab studs that have an instant impact. Which is a lot to bank on.

Mamba, no offense, but what the **** are you arguing?

We either get the picks, or we don't. There is no other option. So I would think, you'd rather enjoy trying to keep these dang things.

We'll figure out the FA stuff later, but I KNOW giving away the picks helps us zero, so why would we want that? Worry about what player __ thinks later. Right now we need assets.

Root for Detroit/Charlotte wins, and Houston/LA losses. Helps us collect assets.

I do that already pops. I ride shotgun with Master P on the no limit tank. It's good to say worry about it later, but it's becoming more and more clear the picks aren't going to get this train rolling as quickly as some predicted. That's all. Not really arguing anything just stating my thoughts. And this front office seemingly having no initial plan let alone a contingency plan has ramped up my pessimism.

I hate to even say it........I may throw up.......maybe IF we keep top 5, Mitch deals it for someone.

Yeah......gonna vomit.

You wouldnt trade "Mr. 2015 Top5" for an established star to help get a player like KD? ( ala Wiggins -Love)

If we have already secured said KD. and trading say Okafor for say Anthony Davis. Yes.

but no otherwise.

Cleveland is gonna end up losing that trade badly.

Lol Cavs had to give up half their team just to get Love. A top 5 pick is going to get us KD or one of his contemporaries? Child please. Nah keep the pick for this year and hope Julius becomes the GOAT over the next year.

Julius is the goat already. Cesar said so.

You guys cry at the top of your lungs after every single god damn win like the sky is falling.

The Lakers still went 3-7 in the the last 10. That would be 24 wins in an 82game season.

Just yelling about we have no plan. What's this team doing. Look at the Knicks resting players to tank, not realizing damn near that entire team has an injury and are not sitting just to sit.

Oh my god we haven't traded Hill yet? Damn you Mitch. Ignoring that Hill, Wes can't be traded until the 15th. Boozer can't at all.

And the trade market is quiet. As it normally is right now because both buyers and sellers are waiting for more options to come.

Everybody wants to keep the damn pick.

But worrying about a win on a night to night basis and then crying about it nonsensically when it's an 82 game season is indescribable. I can't even find a word, phrase or quote to sum up how hilariously frustrating it is.

That's because (to some) the Lakers are in a tight race for one of five spots. Even though it's early, the pressure is still there cause there's only five spots that matter to the Lakers.

If there were only 5 playoff spots and the Lakers were 6, I'm sure there would be a similar panic after every loss.

Call me silly, but I don't put too much stock in any singular aspect of rebuilding, or winning it all.

You need an an attractive city, a nice team leader, an aggressive & savvy FO, a nice coaching staff, cap flexibility to sustain long term success, young pieces to build around, young pieces to trade, and veteran leadership.

We have 2 of those.

   E.

Nobody said anything about the win in like 3 hours dude. Calm down.

We're discussing everything involving the team, Julius, picks, FA's, Coaching, Mitch. I barely even posted once about the Pacer game.

Calm down man.

Ahhh great win. Skip what yall are saying. I'll choose a win every time. Kobe finally hitting a game winner again. And that 3 right before it, ****!!

Lakers have to collect assets to be attractive to players and coaches.

The Lakers and the Mavs were in the exact same boat we just have a great coach and talked Dirk into talking pennies on the dollar.

Yep. Kudos on both.

We have Byron and 48.5.

*reaches for bottle*

Its over with after next year tho and its still the Lakers.

Julius+a top 5 picks and unlimited cap space is gonna be appealing a coach.
