Easy road in the east....I understand what you are saying though.

I just think more people will think more about NY this offseason.

Next off season when kobe comes off the books though...

Just did the math. If we go by $71.065mil as the cap space next year.

Lakers - Kobe, Randle, #4 Pick, #18 Pick (Trade Rockets & Our 2nd to move up 4 spots), Swaggy P, Kelly, Clarkson, Sacre, Black, and 1 cap hold gives us $27.973mil in cap space. (Can open up an extra $800K by not keeping Sacre or Black and just going with cap holds).

Knicks - Melo, #2 Pick, Prigioni, Hardaway Jr., Acy, 5 cap holds. $37.066mil for 2 guys. (Can open up another $1.8mil not keeping Prigs & Acy). If they end up keeping Calderon it's $30.194-32mil in cap space)

Yes we have a $9.1mil less in cap space, but 2 mid tier FAs would take the team with Kobe, 2 Top 10 Picks, A Top 20 Pick, A 6th Man, and a more complete team over Melo's Knicks. Especially when we can add 2 max guys in 2016.

Best day of the season so far for us?

Winning your teammates is crucial.

Games like this is where you win teammates.

Leading the team in boards so far, including 3 more than the starting center?

Everyone else on the team has a combined 9 dimes and you've got 7 yourself?

:smokin

Look, we were going to lose the game anyways. If it wasn't clear before the game, it was clear after Q1. So bring Magic Mamba out, win over some teammates... even if the teammates you're winning over aren't even on the team yet.

Just for reference... When Kevin Love leaves the Cavs after this season...

I want no parts of him in LA as a Laker. None. Under any circumstance.

1. Would basically mean the end for Julius Randle in LA. And when we trade Randle we will likely get 50 cents on the dollar basically just throwing away a #7 pick.
2. The role he's playing in Cleveland, is the role he will end up playing here in LA (not Day 1, but eventually). If their goal is to assemble a superteam with all the max cap room. NO THANK YOU to Cavs Kevin Love.

And I still think he's top 3 PF in the league. But for what he'll command, and what it will mean.. ABSOLUTELY NOT.

But we will sign him. Trade Randle for crap. And wallow away in misery.

^^ Since Gasol is most likely to stay (hope not), would you rather go after DeAndre or Dragic?

I wouldn't mind Asik though if everybody else turns us down...

I hope he stays in Cleveland

Let them make the finals I don't care. Just don't come to LA.

Tarik black got worked by fat boy Davis two plays in a row.

This was painful to watch and mainly cuz of Kobe. Favorite player of all time but he has to understand he's not that guy anymore. He cant park on the mid post demand the ball then hold it for 7 seconds then make an impossible pass or ridiculous shot. Its not fun to watch. Its not even basketball.

It helps team tank so Im cool for now but he has to change next year when we actually have some talent.

He's changing now. Not taking as many shots. He just needs to cut it out with the turnovers.

All depends who we draft.

But Dragic easily. More dynamic of a player.

I doubt we go after him, but I explain before about Roy Hibbert possibly ending up being the 2nd best value Center on the Free Agent Market. There are 7 Centers who will end up getting more money than him (Gasol, Lopez, Jordan, Jefferson, Vucevic, Asik, Kanter)... Then Robin Lopez, Tyson Chandler will end up getting around what he makes, maybe more. Then PFs Love, Aldridge & Milsap will get money.. Hibbert and the questions on offense and his mental capacity may drop him a ton in salary. And despite all his problems, he's still a great defensive player.

Not about shots. Its about letting the offense flow.

It's way easier to win in the East if all things being equal. We don't have the cache we once had. NY at worst is an equal challenger in free agency, I think it's better at least for this summer because of Phil and the potential of getting Okafor. 2016 may be a different story.

I would say they are still an equal challenger.

Yes. It's easier to win out East. That's why they are an equal challenger. BUT why they are not a better challenger is because their main star has led them to 5-33 in the East.

That horrible record will have a sway. Now if we lose our pick, then fine I'll give them the edge. But if we keep our pick with Kobe & Randle. At best the Knicks are equal.
