Hey, why not listen to a guy that has one year left instead of setting up your next dozen years? What could go wrong??????

*reaches for bottle*

Getting rondo is how you become the Oakland raiders. Honestly, were such a **** show. :smh:

Don't take them drinks until we sign Rondo. Save yourself some alcohol... Or if we don't sign him.... Save yourself the addiction

Well if the team is really "taking his advice heavily into account" this year's pick would be with the Celtics right now.

Never in life did I think I would get here....

But I'm worried about this summer.

Does Kobe see what we see? Does Mitch see what we see?

REBUILD. DON'T TRADE ANYMORE PICKS! PLEASE! :smh:

Nah, I don't think they can trade it since it's already been traded to the Suns... otherwise it might've been gone already :x

I'm convinced y'all dudes just love to panic . We're not trading for deron williams, we're not maxing out rondo and we're not besting the hawks win streak to end the season. Chill...

I agree on 2 of 3.

How you so sure we won't max rondo? The more I think about it the more I can see it happen. Just a gut feeling.

I don't know about max, but I'm sure they'll pursue him to some extent. Which is bad enough.

They've pursued everything they could during the season (a Brook Lopez trade offer :x), they just haven't had enough to get any of it done. Which worries me about what they'll end up doing with their money when they can spend it.

I mean we all can see that rondo wouldn't be a great pickup, why can't they? That dallas team is not winning games despite the fact that he's improved their defensive rating and only slightly regressed the offense. They didn't pursue fringe guys like IT and lance, rondo's shooting has become so abysmal that he's now a fringe guy. Mitch already said before the season that they ask kobe to help recruit and get his input but if they don't agree, they do what they feel is best. If a journalist or fan wants to spin that into kobe as gm, so be it but it's really a non story. This is not the cavs where they owe everything and defer to one player.

If the front office really thought the nets would've accepted their offer for lopez, they wouldn't have made the offer. They're just posturing for the fans that scream "do something!" and think because there's no smoke that they're just sitting around idly while the rest of the league makes moves. As bad as jim's rep is, I have yet to see him do something to outright cripple the franchise like a dumars or Billy king. He always gives himself some type of escape route. He goes for the home run and if he misses he just waits til the next at bat

It was a rumor ..maybe Ainge thought we would still be a top 5 bad even with Rondo

As for the Lakers, who can offer a top-five protected pick in 2015 and Steve Nash's $9.7 million expiring contract (paid mostly by insurance), they are viewed as more of an option for Rondo in free agency next summer if he is not traded by the Feb. 19 deadline.

They wanted, and offered Melo. That alone tells me they will do enough to screw us up for no real reason.

And they gave Nick Young a 4 ****** year contract.

And they sat on Pau and got not a single thing for him.

Mistakes have been made.

Thanks... I assumed wrong. I guess since Mitch can trade the 1-5 range on the pick but hasn't yet, he can't be that desperate...

If he traded that pick, I think he knows we would riot. And eventually lead to his own death.

Whatever assets they didn't get for pau, they got for some guy named Sergei Lishchuk - 2 picks and an average guard. They also traded pau for chris paul so I have to give them some kind of leeway. Nick young is in a slump and will see better days. Even if he doesn't, not a crippling move. Doesn't effect the future almost at all.

Nick young is the epitome of chucker. You keep him to keep a losing culture.

Horrible signing.

I thought people hated nick because he was bringing too many wins to a tanking team. I haven't seen this attitude problem you're talking about, gotta fill me in there. Supposedly a good locker room guy by all accounts. Bottom line, it wasn't a crippling move no matter how you look at it

New Poll. Pretty straight forward. I set it for end of month. I can re-open new one in March after the trade deadline, see if anything changes.

I listed the poll results in the OP to save up whatever votes were had.

He's struggling right now. His mental psych (shooting slump, coach etc) seems to impact his production on the court. It's not like this offense is getting him any easy looks. The struggle is really terrible. At least last year, you could see some semblance of an offense/strategy. He would get open looks in the corner for a lot of threes last year.

Other than that, there's a select few who really despise the guy and I'll never get it. He's not a superstar, he's not the Laker savior, but he can be a piece of the bench. And yes one reason is him getting a few wins by himself last year.

The biggest issue with this team in the future is going to be coaching. There is no way Scott can stick around. The flaws offensively and defensively are just terrible. Yes the roster has limited talent, but that doesn't excuse the coaching happening.

He's a 42% shooter for his entire career. His "breakout " year with us last year, he shot 43%. He's almost 30 years old. This ain't a slump, he sucks. Period.

And we gave him a 4 year contract, as he passes his prime, and still won't improve his game worth a ****.

Just for reference, Smush Parker shot 44% in his two years with us. He also averaged 3 assists and 3 rebounds a game.

Nick is at 41% 1.3 assists and 2.5 rebounds.

Smush, Parker, had better numbers in his two years than Nick Young does. WAKE. UP.
