This ain't a slump, he sucks. Period.

if they ever made a 30 for 30 about nick young this would be the tag line

What if I told you, someone would make Smush Parker's two years look impressive? 30 for 30, it's not a slump, he just sucks. The Nick Young story.

Did he not shoot close to 40% last season from three? His TS% is better than that 43% you posted. I don't see how what he did last year is a detriment to a team. If anything it's a useful tool for a team. A guy who can score off the bench. Crawford does the same thing, Lou Williams in Toronto does the same thing, etc. Also, I don't see how what he did last year isn't replicable in a competent system.

He's paid 5 million to come off the bench and score. I don't get why there's this excess amount of hatred like he's expected to carry the franchise and he's somehow not lived up to that.

Pluhlease with this crap.

It's not a slump, he just reverted back to what he always was a chucking bum. He played above usual bum status for a month. He's not as good as Jamal nor Lou at doing it, literally does nothing else of worth besides being a goofball.

If they wanted to give him a 1 year or 2 year deal like everyone else on the team fine, but to lock his *** up for 4 years at ANY dollar amount until he's 34 is asinine. That money could be used elsewhere when hopefully we can actually field a competitive squad in 2016 and 2017 instead we'll be paying this clown.

Just for reference, Smush Parker shot 44% in his two years with us. He also averaged 3 assists and 3 rebounds a game.

Nick is at 41% 1.3 assists and 2.5 rebounds.

Smush, Parker, had better numbers in his two years than Nick Young does. WAKE. UP.

He's been kicked from losing team to losing team year after year his whole career. Now he's playing for us while we've won 40 games in a year and a half.

So we gave him 20 million dollars. To chuck terrible shots, play no defense, not pass, or rebound.

Yeah.

clippers would be better off if they had a solid 3 and D guy to guard wing players than jamal crawford

I agree. Nick young has killed off any chance this team has of being competitive for the forseeable future. I've seen the light

Get Karl Towns in a Laker jersey. That is all.
My initial thought on him before the season started was a heavier anthony davis.

But I see more effective, more brute Al Horford. Which is really good.

Plus two kentucky guys leading our frontline? And if we get Rondo? (not that I want it)

Ska might shed tears.

I thought Joakim myself, but he looks more advanced in the post with that hook shot (which is pretty similar to Horford's). Once he gets a stronger base, it's going to be curtains.

Nick Young is a better career FG%, 3P%... Crawford better FT%

Per 36... Nick better RPG.

Difference is Crawford is a better passer.

But to say he's worthless

Bench scorers are a commodity. A small commodity.

And to say this passed month is Nick Young reverting back to what he normally was... He's only shot under 38% FG% twice since 2010-11. A month where he's played 2 games (2012-13 ), and a month where he's played 7 games (2010-11). And 2 months where he didn't shoot 40% from the field, but shot above 38% from 3 (08-09. 10-11).

Oh and no one sees a correlation of when Kobe went out his numbers went down.. Nobody has an explanation for that? How about Kobe spread the court which gave Nick opportunities. Just like being in a fluid offense of Mike D'Antoni and having other shooters. Once Kobe went out, you know who to key on.. Nick Young. Not to mention we've been complaining all year about how Byron's offense stinks and creates no space for anyone. Especially shooters.

but whats the point of having nick to come off the bench and score when he's only semi productive when he's playing with kobe

the point of having someone like nick is to be able to score when kobe is resting, if he cant do that efficiently then he is useless

Valid.

He was pretty productive from his 1st game Mid-Nov to New Year's. 40/42/89. His per was at about 18, and his defensive numbers per 82games were actually mind-boggingly good.

Also he was very productive last year when there were guys around who could shoot as well. And at least someone else who could coherently but a basketball in a basket.

So it isn't just needing Kobe. But this year it is. Offense that doesn't help 3 point shooters, and no clear player for anybody to worry about on offense. We went from 3rd to 17th in 3 point shooting. Personnel and offense a big key. Offensive scheme is horrible for 3 point shooters.

Nick Young just sauntered into Lakers locker room - late again

Byron screams across the Locker room while Nick is doing an interview to say he's late, and will be fined (which is as unprofessional as being late)

Nick said he's always there at 6:15.

Then Byron says back call time is at 6:00

(From Eric Pincus)

I'm willing to bet he's always there at 6:15, and Byron wants to toughen him up whatever that means. So he's trying to prove a point.

Also from the guy who was late to Staples because he didn't know what time a Sunday Lakers game started

Puke Walton sat on the bench for 5 of his 6 yr. $30M contract and didnt do s***. He didnt get this much hate.

We couldnt afford to keep Ariza and Shannon because of him.

Joe Smith and Theo Ratliff as reinforcements to our tired frontline. :smh:
