Could be tied with Philly and Minny

*sips tea and :smh:

If we didn't win a single game the entire year... We would be perfect.

If Sixers can win a game with that **** show, cutting Boozer, and Lin would do nothing.

By the way a buyout of Hill was never going to happen.. Why? Because you would probably have to guarantee part of next year's contract to get him to agree, and if Steven Kyler was right and he was blocking trades, then he wouldn't accept a buyout either, unless he got all the money this year and next.

Lin isn't happening with Price out for the season. Neither is Ellington because of Price, and Ellington could be a solid bench piece at the right price (cheap).

Only thing that has any validity. Everything else is an excuse.

Hill re: being bought out, wouldn't be an excuse.. It would be fact. If

@stevekylerNBA Feb 19
@cru2492: was there a market for Jordan Hill? ---> he would not approve a trade, so it was moot without picking up his option

Is true.

Then buying him out would not be an option unless you basically guarantee most, if not all of his contract next year which would be asinine.

Are we strapped for cash or something? If it doesn't count against the cap who cares? We paid Ron to go away...we should have done it or better off not sign him to that ridiculous contract in the first place.

Everything else stands as an excuse...we win those games if Lin, Boozer and Ellington aren't there? Gimme a break.

My modest projections for this summer with a few assumption like Hill's team option being declined and the other free agents being renounced (Nash, Lin, Johnson, etc.):

$22.7 million could get two good players, or one good player and two decent players.

Why did he get a trade clause?

He was signed using his bird rights.

But only had 1 guaranteed year of the contract. Because of that, if he was traded, he'd lose his Bird Rights, and therefore you need his permission.

If we signed him for 2 year / $18mil without the option, wouldn't need permission from him.

Who the heck would pay Nick 5 mil besides us?

He didn't have much of a market this past summer because he was probably one of the most sure things of the entire free agency, of any player.

I take that part back. Atlanta pursued him, and about a handful of other teams. We were not the highest $ amount.

In 2013-14, he had a few teams offer him a multi-year deal in the range we paid. He took a minimum because he had an opportunity to play on his favorite team.

Hey E, do you still want Roy Hibbert if we don't draft Towns?

Far down on my list. Way far down. Great rim protector, but my wanting him was hoping the bunch of Centers on the market could drive him down to maybe $10-12mil, but it looks like he probably still gets $15mil. No thanks.

What about DJ? Are you still feeling him?

Absolutely. Not sure how much he's in play though.

But Mudiay - Randle - Jordan would be entertaining as hell. And Jordan fits with Randle. Doesn't need the ball on offense, gets his points on putbacks, alley-oops, and as the trailer in transition , and plays great defense.
