He wasn't too bad defensively last year. Actually put an effort on that side of the court. Portion of the season he got lazy and Dantoni even called him out on it and he improved after. Was surprising. Nick's overall play was one of the few bright spots last year.

You always bag on the guy but for 5 million, please tell me who you could get with Young's skillset?

Young's skillset is jacking up shots. Thats it

Another guy who hates dude for no apparent reason lol.

I'm only going based on his Laker tenure because I didn't ever watch him much before. He was efficient last year. If you don't believe me check his numbers. That's with him having the best perimeter defender on him as well.

He was one of the only few players last year that actually played hard and cared. He actually won us a few games by himself single handedly.

Not sure what exactly there's to hate about him if you're a Laker fan based on his Laker performance

Players aren't based only as Lakers, that's a myopic way to view them. He's been in the league 10 years, and been a career loser the entire time. He had a "career year" on a 27 win team, as he laughingly played his *** off the final two games to HURT the franchises lottery odds.

He doesn't pass, rebound, or defend, and as a "great shooter" he hits at about 42% for his career.

Stop trying to make him out to be some key piece of the franchise. He's dead weight, but can create his own shot. Yippee.

I think the people clamoring for Nick Young just hope he can make the games more competitive

A player who creates his own shot and can get you at least 10 PPG can make games at least single digit losses
