I can see you're a petty dude looking to argue and boost your self esteem and/or internet status. Keep doing you bruh

Kind of pointless debating if rondo will mesh well with Kobe when the while point of getting someone like rondo is to have someone lead the team after Kobe retires

Every time someone calls you out on one of your head-scratching statements doesn't mean they're trying to boost their self-esteem. Maybe they're just annoyed.

You're being condescending, trying to act like "oh dudes like Reggie Jackson but hate Nick Young what a puzzle" like it's flawed thinking and it somehow proves your previous point about Nick Young being worthwhile. Yeah, no.

It doesn't really boost my self-esteem and/or internet status to point out something that simple.

Don't know why you're taking this so personal roboto. Didn't even have you in mind when I made that comment. Maybe you shouldn't be so sensitive to get so annoyed by words on a computer screen from someone you don't know about what is ultimately a meaningless game. Your issue goes beyond what I'm qualified to deal with. Best wishes and happy holidays to you bro

One is a pass-first, pass-second, think-about-shooting-but-ultimately-pass-third... the other is a shoot-first chucker  volume-shooter  shooting guard.

How would that not work?
Rondo needs the ball in his hands to be effective

Kobe needs the ball in his hands to be effective

Effectively there is only one ball

So having both kobe and rondo wouldn't be effective.
Rondo wont work but Dragic and Jackson, who are scoring point guards, will?
I'm thinking post Kobe. One year of Kobe with Dragic or Jackson is watchable. Plus there contracts will be smaller. can still go get other pieces easily.

You wanna pay rondo 20 million and build around him post Kobe?

Even if the cap goes up to 80 million, he'd be 1/4 of the cap to an injury prone, point guard who can't shoot.

They can shoot, at least, so they could potentially be effective even if Kobe takes the ball. Rondo, I dunno. Kobe would need to be the one that changed a lot for them to work together, imo.

I don't think Reggie that great next to Kobe either, but he'd probably still contribute.

 please don't pull that card.

My issue is whenever someone gets condescending, no matter what the topic.

But happy holidays regardless.

Yea cuz at the end of the day nick young is still a one demensional player who nobody wanted but the lakers

Young is 30

Jackson is 24

Young has never had a season where he averaged more than 2 rebounds per game or more than 1 assist per game. 2.7 is highest rebounds. 1.5 assist his best in his career

Jackson averaged 4 rebounds per game and 4 assists per game in his first season of real minutes

You wanna talk about jamal crawford?

He averages 3.7 assist for his career. Once aberaged 5.1 assist in a season

Things nick young will never do.

Nick young getting an assist is like andrew bynum making a 3

But you want to bring up shooting percentages?

For one season.

Nick young couldnt wash jamal crawfords jock strap on his worst day

Teams actually want jamal crawford unlike young

Im confused since you said Kobe AND Rondo wont be effective.

But if youre talking about post Kobe I think Randle and Rondo could work. Plus with two Kentucky guys maybe it'll help recruit the one in New Orleans :nerd:

Rondo wont be getting his market value since his numbers will be down with Bradley and Smart on that team.

Not a fan of Jackson. I do like Sasha's BFF but im just a bigger RR fan.

Well Kobe and Rondo won't work either. Kobe has only another year. That year will be a disaster imo.

but Maybe, I keep forgetting about Randle.

Rondo randle Okafor

Could work. Need a Kawhii, jimmy butler type piece.

Essential and I were talking on twitter last night, maybe stanley Johnson falls to our Houston pick, or we trade up for him.

In 4-5 years we may have something.

But I agree I like Dragic much more then Jackson. Just don't wanna pay Rondo 20 Mil

NobleKane, you still hate me after all these years? :nerd:

What the hell? I didnt even mention you

And no i dont hate anyone on here. I dont take **** personal and if you annoy me i dont hold a grudge.

I dont even hate the shaq jersey guy  even removed him from ignore list [emoji]128046[/emoji][emoji]128077[/emoji]

Rondo is a joke.  A PG that can't shoot, let alone from the line is meaningless.  NM  his hyped up stats and assists.  Meaningless.

Guys still high on Randle?  Dude's at reset w/ Joel Embiid together, so we'll see how that goes when both return from injuries.  Truth is, so long as BS is here, Randle won't get the looks.

Bigs, bigs and more bigs.  LA on the look out for BIGs.  NM about these guards, and swing man jersey type players.

Would love to see Melo, Jackson and Fisher come back like it's some WWF drama NWO team reuniting together.

Last but not least, Nick Young is a legit clown.  He's like a softer version of JR Smith, something JR craves to be but can't become.  Something Lance wanted to become, yet no one would adore.  Nick Young is a legit teddy bear clown.  Dude sounds super high and too full of himself.

Not sure how you craft an offense with Kobe and Rondo, but okay.
One is a pass-first, pass-second, think-about-shooting-but-ultimately-pass-third floor general... the other is a shoot-first chucker volume-shooter shooting guard.

How would that not work?
That's too vague of a statement. Rondo is at his best improvising (similar to prime Nash), so how is that going to mesh with Kobe? Kobe is going to plant his *** in the mid-post and wait for the ball to be dumped into him. Where is Rondo going to be? Stationed at the three point line or far corner? Not to mention he's going on 29 and you would be paying for his declining years soon after. But beggars can't be choosers, I suppose.

Pretty much why I want Pat Beverely. He'll upgrade the pathetic perimeter defense tremendously, will stay out of the way on offense and knock down threes.

I think if rondo and Paul pierce could work then kobe and double r should be able to figure it out. Kobe is nice with the ball but I wouldn't say he needs the ball in his hands. What he needs is shots. He's never quite figured out how to balance creating for himself and creating for others, he usually tends to the extreme so it would be a relief to have someone else burden that task especially as 24 continues to "mature" in age. Kobe also wanted to play with Jason kidd, a similar unselfish, broke jumper, defensive pg so I would suppose he knows what he'd be getting himself into
