if most experts think okc is making the playoffs

and we only have 0.5 less of a chance to make the playoffs than okc

then....

Wojnarowski: “Jeremy Lin is a one-year player with the Lakers.”

Yahoo Sports NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski joins The Home Team each week to give an update on the two L.A. franchises, and this week he had his sights set squarely on Jeremy Lin and the Los Angeles Lakers.

I think this Lin is a one-year player with the Lakers. He’s a backup point guard in the NBA. He’s obviously be thrust into a bigger role because of who they have [on the Lakers roster], with the injuries and with Steve Nash being out for the year. You can see that Lin’s confidence is not there. There’s not a great chemistry between Kobe and Lin, that’s obvious.

So who is starting at PG next year....:nerd:

Lakers Have Never Seen Kobe So Patient With Teammates

The Los Angeles Lakers aren't playoff contenders and Kobe Bryant hates losing, but he doesn't hate this season or this team.

"The idea of me having no patience is misunderstood," Bryant told Yahoo Sports on Tuesday night. "I don't have patience when we're not putting the work in, if I see that we're not doing our job as professionals. If that's happening, I'll let my team know about it. But this is not that kind of group. We work. These guys want to get better every day. They're there early working, they're there late working.

"This organization put forth a lot of effort to try and land some of these top free agents. They went for it. I respect that. I appreciate that.

"Now it's time for me to go out there and do my job – not whine or complain about it."

The Lakers have never seen Bryant so patient with his teammates as he's been this season.

"A knee fracture, an Achilles' injury and old age – nobody expected me to be moving the way that I am right now," Bryant told Yahoo. "To an extent, I didn't either. But I've done a lot of work. It's a puzzle that there's no example for. We're trying to figure this thing out on the fly.

"It's a lifestyle, an absolute around-the-clock lifestyle. There's no getting away from it. I've always enjoyed that aspect of it, the process of it, the building of it. But there will come a point when I don't anymore, and then it will be over for me."

Some of yall forget about what Rondo can do. Looking at this season it's obvious after being put on the trading block by Ainge for the past 5 years he's not trying to win. Is it a bad look yes but dude is just trying to get assist.

He's had games of 40, 15 assist and nearly 10 boards. Games of 20, 17, 20!

This guy can score when he wants to and can hit foul shots. I watched him live against Atlanta and it was obvious that he's just trying to get assist had 19!

there's a reason people have forgotten what rondo can do

he hasnt done anything of significance in years

I think it's ok to have Rondo if you have shooters and scoring wings like Ray Allen, pierce, Eddie house, etc like Boston had. RR on this team would be a disaster

I don't think you acquire rondo with the intent of keeping the rest of the roster unchanged. Could be wrong tho.

The question is what do you give up to get him?  Picks, players, significant cap space?

Pass on a PG who cant shoot and is injury prone.

Well you don't have to give either of the first 2 if you wait an extra few months.

I doubt the Lakers trade for him. Nobody is that stupid.

licensed to ball licensed to ball @Kal-El-8 Finally got to give Jermaine's new work a couple spins, really solid. Very good lyrically, production could have been a bit better.

Really looking forward to K. Dot's new joint now, I know it will have it all.

Watching these highlights on Inside the NBA and it really makes me miss Steve Blake lol. Especially with how Lin has been playing lately. Dude was just constant every night and hit shots.Think of all the close games the team has lost this year or the games that Lin hasn't done anything at all. Team would prob be 3-4 games better.

i dont get why some of u guys high on rondo. he has yet to re validate himeself. i dont see his value with out bigs and another legit scorer. id be high on gragic, haywood. these guys improve themselves regardless. but rondos elbow n injuries and being pancaked in n out aint my cup of tea. jmho.

my POV still da same, stick with bigs. id rather chase a big, than make a liberation at the PG position.

That's too vague of a statement. Rondo is at his best improvising (similar to prime Nash), so how is that going to mesh with Kobe? Kobe is going to plant his *** in the mid-post and wait for the ball to be dumped into him. Where is Rondo going to be? Stationed at the three point line or far corner? Not to mention he's going on 29 and you would be paying for his declining years soon after. But beggars can't be choosers, I suppose.

Pretty much why I want Pat Beverely. He'll upgrade the pathetic perimeter defense tremendously, will stay out of the way on offense and knock down threes.

My pov is the same here too. u cant expect ur PG to be some DPOY. you cant expect the smallest guy to and match the young kids with handles, and what not. i mean, which PG are u talking bout?

i agree Lin getting burnt and fisher being burnt to be a big reason for this thinking, but maybe yall should try rephrase that. its not like guys sent PGs to defend Kobe.

but when looking at it from a one to one basis, i hear your point. its just an immaterial aspect IMHO in the grand scheme of things. i wouls take a PG that can at least shoot from the line, handle the ball. i dont need him to shut out CP, or guard LBJ. jmho.

On everything, if they are gonna win tonight, just go out there and get the W, play well, control the game, get the win. That's fine.

But if they let the Celtics run the game for 46 minutes, and then suddenly "collapse" with a 10-0 Laker run to lose the game, I'm going to be furious.

I don't mind getting a well deserved, hard fought W. But I absolutely loathe them fighting hard for a comeback win on the road vs a team that wants to have fewer wins than us for a reason. :smh:

That said, 3rd game in 4 nights, on the road, I expect some dead legs, including Kobe, but you know he likes to put on shows at times, especially for crowds that hate his guts. He could knock a third of his needed points off tonight to catch MJ.

BTW, be prepared for those articles in the next week or two, again, slamming him for just getting his, playing outside the team, Jordan was a better teammate, etc etc. They'll be coming.

:wow:

Who are you and what have you done with our CP? :nerd:

I like whoever you are though :pimp:

If you had to deal with Bird/McHale/Parish.....The clothesline...'08...u should have disdain.

Here's to rationale.

I want this one.
