That's not how the phrase goes in here.

They need to play Kobe 45 minutes a game.  We need to secure these Losses early into the season.

At this point, who is the best bet of taking Jordan Hill & maybe Lin from us for a pick?

Don't think anybody wants Lin's bum ***. Don't think Hill will fetch anything more than a 2nd rounder. We may be able to get more from the ghost of Steve Nash.

We most certainly can get a 1st for Hill.

But it's all about finding 3 things... 1. A playoff or on the bubble team with a pick. 2. Have at least a $6mil expiring that is useless to them. 3. Have a need at PF or C

If the Perkins trade doesn't work out, I'm looking at the Raps. Especially if any of their bigs go down. They have Chuck Hayes and Landry Fields expirings to work with.

Randle injury blessing in disguise as long as we get top 5 pick

If we don't then it's just ********

Just looked some thing up.

From 2012-13 to 2014-15
Kobe's % of shots that are dunks have gone from 3.3% to .4%.
Understandable that he doesn't have the lift anymore. But that was almost 1 a game. Easy bucket, which would raise his Shooting % drastically.

%Shots from 0-3 feet:
21.1% to 16.3%

FG% of shots from 0-3 feet:
69.3% to 55.3%

% of shots from 3-10 feet:
14.7% to 13.1%

FG% from 3-10 feet:
46.2% - 34.4%

%Shots from 10-16
15% - 18.5%

FG% from 10-16
47.1% - 30.2%

If he were to get half way between 39.8% and his career high 46.9%, he would be shooting 43.3%. On 22.1 shots a game, that is 9.57 makes, a full 1 extra made shot a game.

Could come from 3 places. The first is he has to take less threes, he's taking 5.2 a game, but shooting 27.9%, it was okay when he was at 33%, but at 27%, he's showing he doesn't have the legs. He has to pick and choose his 3s. Unless it's 5 or less on the shot clock, or he's open, he's gotta give it up. The 2nd & 3rd place he has to close the gap on 0-3 & 3-10. Shoot halfway between what he is in in '14-'15 and what he was in '12-13, it will be tough because he doesn't have that lift anymore, but maybe running an offense where he's in the low post, will actually do that for him. Because unless you're a really good defender, Kobe has shown he can still beat you.

He wasn't worth a max deal though...

He's not, especially not when we aren't good.

I wouldn't give Melo 88, and I wouldn't give Bledsoe 80.

Not when they only make us a marginal West team.

Not that difficult to see economically.

When they give 13-15 mil to Dragic or 20 to Rondo we'll revisit this conversation.

Bledsoe is >>>>>> Dragic. One of the best two way players in the league.

I do research no one cares... :frown:

I always read them. Rather just lurk most of the time.

The 5 threes a game are partially a result of all these large deficits. The guy ends up just chucking a few desperation threes to either try to climb back or counter the barrage of threes hit against the Lakers.

Also, didn't Scott emphasize before the season started that he'd put Kobe on the post. I rarely see him there.

Byron says a lot of things.

To be fair, I wouldn't give Rondo 20 mil either.

But Dragic, 13-15, I might. Know why?

2015.

Why pay Bledsoe in 2014 80 mil, still not be any good, give away our 2015 and 2017 pick, when I can wait 1 year, keep my 2015 and 17 pick, deepening the roster/talent pool, then get Dragic for 55-65 mil?

Bledsoe doesn't win a title this year, and costs 2 picks and more money.

Dragic is cheaper, and comes with the extra pick savings on top of that.

You don't pay to lose and give away assets at the same time.

If we had prime Kobe, prime LO, young Bynum, young Ariza, and Phil, and Bledsoe is available, THEN I pay for him, to help put us over the top.

I don't pay for him to play with old man Kobe, and rookie Randle.

See the difference?

I watched that Boozer interview and he seemed to handle it really well.  He's using black ice on his beard.  Then BS talked, he said he don't talk EGOs.  That's crap!!  Dude acts like he's a hard beat down coach, but has no accolades to validate his position.  He spent a great amount of time as a coach and on TWS.  He knows what's good.
