Your 2015 first-round pick is owed to Phoenix as part of the Steve Nash trade unless it's in the top five. There is already talk that you should tank to try to keep that pick. How do you respond to that?

All the guy ever did was play hard, compete, and win and got really good at all 3.

Lakers were losing by 15 at Half. Kobe had 23 points on 8/13. Sooooooooooooooooooooo what you wanted was him to shoot and score more because that was clearly working right?


The rest of the Lakers at half:
Cook 6 points 3/5
Kwame 6 points 1/6
Odom 4 points 2/8
Smush 4 points 2/6
Luke 2 points 1/4

It's clear that the rest of the team scoring 22 points on 10/29 shooting is why they were down 15. Perhaps, it was important to try and get others rolling in order to get the game close because Kobe ball was not working even on a very efficient night.


He plays hero ball, he gets killed. He defers when even an efficient night of hero ball had them down by 15 at half, and gets killed.

Jim's got two years to save his position and turn this around. I dont think he's looking at the draft to save him.

That big Time Warner TV deal ( $ 122 million per year :x ) wont let them go through that "rebuilding phase" that most teams have to. Which is great for the fans.

Just look at what the Dodgers and Angels have done after getting huge TV deals.

Do you not the remember the playoff series against Phoenix where we are getting blitz and Kobe comes out in the second half with the Don't pass me the pass attitude?

Do you not remember the game in the 08 finals where we are getting blown out and he refuses to even touch the ball?

Tell me what leader would do that? I never saw Magic do that. Never saw Jordan do that. Never saw those 2 get blown out by 40+ at the garden in a finals game.

Kobe is a great player and I will always respect him for that. but as far as a leader. never saw him act like one. Even in those laker championship years of 09 and 10'

May 27, 1985 Lakers lost Game 1 to the Celtics 114 - 148. Not 40 points, but 34 is pretty bad. At the Garden as well.

I think these quotes are fair, especially coming from PJ.  Oh well, wanna see how things go tonight against the Spurs.  Heard TD got hurt, not sure if POP is gonna rest guys against LA, like how the Kings did w/ Cousins. lol

As Essential already pointed out, and you two missed, the Memorial Day Massacre was a thing, where the Celtics dropped 148 points on Magic's ***. In the Finals. It happened, trying knowing about it before you run off at the mouth about Kobe losing a blowout and hyping Magic as "never woulda let that happen"

You mean the game 6 where Kobe shot TWENTY TWO TIMES, and no other Laker had more than 8? THAT game where Kobe "refused to touch the ball?" The other 4 starters had 25 shots if you were interested in being accurate. (I know you aren't)


Again, so since we cleared up the little issue about you two not knowing what you're speakin about, continue to pat each other on the back about speaking out, accurate or not. By all means, be my guest.
