OFFICIAL 2015 LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS OFF-SEASON THREAD (Lance, PP, Josh Smith, Aldrich - pretty nice l

We just don't have enough to beat these guys on the road with no Jamal and no Blake.

Games like this are when missing Blake hurts big time. Especially when you see Draymond picking us apart.

The 2nd unit actually wasn't that bad today, and we honestly didn't even play all that bad. But against Golden State at their place, you really have to play responsibly and it takes an incredible amount of focus to do so because any sort of live ball turnover, bad shot, blocked shot, or circus move by them can super charge the energy in that building and that energy for them is tangible. That's where they get their separation. Part of why their so good is because of how much pressure is on the opposition to be elite from a decision making perspective for an entire 48 minute game.

I really see no point in the Nate Robinson signing man. Have no idea why we did that. Those games where he gets hot and is a volatile player off the bench are so far and few in between nowadays, that it just wasn't worth it to me. I don't see it. Would rather give CJ those looks.

Doc likes veteran guys and guys he knows. Nate is both. I think that pretty much explains it.

Doc signed BJ Mullins b/c he played well against the Celtics a few times. We all saw how that works out lol.

Doc is a good coach. But a bad GM. Think he'll do better focusing on coaching.

If there's a saving grace, it has to be our defense. In particular, the way we play some of these elite guys in the conference.

Harden, Westbrook, Lillard, Curry, we hold all them far below their averages and do a fantastic job against them. That bolds really well for us, considering we'll probably be playing harden or lillard for the first round.

As a whole, our defense has improved as the season has progressed, and we currently are at 14th in defensive rating. I can easily see us finishing in the top 10 if we continue defending like this.

Agree. The defense has gotten much better, but it still has some holes. For one, I think we foul way to much. Its not just aggressiveness either. Some guys on the teams just take unnecessary fouls. I also think that we mess up on rotations too often too. For example, it was really irritating how many open looks Morrow got last night. But overall, I've been happy with the defense lately.

Yea, we a do a good job of holding one player down but when we play a team that has a second perimeter scorer we get exposed. We can't defend westbrook the way we did last night when KD is back. We **** Steph down but they still killed us. Like loawdog mentioned, we mess up on rotations too often. I think we can take Portland and Houston in a 7 game series but GS and OKC will prove to be much more difficult. Not impossible. But difficult.

I feel like Dallas is another team that's due for a W against us, but they really haven't been playing well lately. I'd like us to get this win so we can take full advantage of the Spurs blowing that game last night and go another game up on them.

So, yep. Knew this was coming. Just glad we got the W against OKC

Didn't post in here, but I was definitely expecting a loss tonight. They were hella due. We've had their number, and they've been terrible as of late.

I was expecting a win. We matchup very well eith Dallas. With or without Blake. They just hit a million threes and Chris Paul couldn't put the team on his back for once.

If Blake doesn't get his *** back on that court soon...

Man, you predict damn near every L. Stop thinking it into existence lol.

Mavs played great D and corralled Cp3 last night. Carlisle had a good game plan. And Pretty Boy Parsons was playing out his mind. Looking forward to Sunday. Should be a fun game. Interested to see if Doc puts Cp3 on Harden for some stretches.

We're far superior than dallas but last night was like the Houston game from a few weeks ago. We were bound to lose that one. Once you start getting into the territory of dominance we've had against a houston, dallas, and to a lesser extent portland, each game just prolongs the inevitable   we had to lose to dallas eventually.

Them playing like **** the last 8 games sealed it for me. We had no shot at all. I love our chances sunday though, and blake should be back if not sunday, by Tuesday

They played cp the way we play step and dame to a degree. Made it real hard for cp to get to his sweet spots. Guarantee we'll see some cp on harden sunday for sure.

Frustrating loss. I knew there would be an adjustment when Blake got back, but jeez. We should not have lost this game.

Good game guys. The other thread is in full circle jerk mode right now. The whole game changed when Paul started carving us up with pick n roll.
