OFFICIAL 2015 LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS OFF-SEASON THREAD (Lance, PP, Josh Smith, Aldrich - pretty nice l

@erupt

I'm with you, man. I agree the biggest issue is how useless the SFs appear to be right now. I love Crawford, but he's just not good enough defensively for us to succeed with a small line up all the time. Farmar has also been disappointing. Definitely a drop off from DC so far.

But we're still 2-0 and there's still plenty of time for some of the kinks to get worked out. Maybe Barnes or CDR will just wake up sometime soon.

Okay, Now I'm getting concerned

JJ redick's 3 pt shooting has been awful :smh: 15% on the season and I would say at least half of his attempts have been great/open looks. He missed 3 wide open looks that would've given us the lead today :smh:

We can easily be 0-3. The only people beating us is ourselves. JJ NEEDS to get out of this slump. He came out strong but faded real quick. Only take away from this game is that the second unit is starting to come together. I still think the team is terrible when they settle in to a half court set. We have got to be one of the most athletics teams in the league and it makes no sense to slow it down. 3 games in to the season and I'm not too worried yet.

2-1. On to the next one. Come out and demolish the Jazz. I will be in the building representing so you know damn well we best win. :smokin

He'll be fine. I feel like he's just far too good of a shooter to struggle this badly for much longer. Have no problem with LAC shooting these 3's either as long as they are good ones. They just aren't sharp thus far on either side of the ball. They'll be okay though.

I feel like Doc should just go ahead and start CDR. Barnes is barely playing better than him and CDR might benefit more from starting as far as confidence goes. Barnes has shown he's fine coming off the bench.

We better get the W tonight. Don't want to be going into Wednesday's game in Oakland riding a losing streak. We don't win too often at Oracle these days.

I would like to see Bullock get an extended look, but it doesn't say much about him if he can't get any burn with our dire SF situation.

I think he needs to play regardless though (Wilcox too), whether in the rotation or D-League, nobody gets confidence sitting on the bench.

Its hard to believe he could be any worse than Barnes and CDR have been. Fingers crossed that one of the SFs has a break out game tonight.

THIS. might as well throw CJ in there too since JJ has been way off (i'm a huge JJ supporter and i'm 100% sure he will be back to his shooting self soon enough). Any kind of experience we can throw the newer guys is valuable IMO.

On another note...Hedo has been looking REAL good lately. In the few minutes he gets, he always seems to make the best of it. #TurkDownForWhat

Was going to say this. I'd almost be tempted to play him at 3, but I think it would be too much for him defensively.

Heard Woj on a local radio station today and he said the Clips are already making calls about upgrading at SF. Nothing popping yet. Glad they're being proactive about it.

The SFs do need to play better, but watching the clips on offense is just poor. What's up with stacking 3 players on the 3 point line while you ISO blake on the block?

With the starting 5, it's pick and roll blake or a variant single double for JJ.

The half court offense is bad. 95% jumpers.

THIS. i'm glad to see the team finally rely more on the uptempo style that they're good at. this game should've been an easy double digit win. I will never understand how BG and DJ can't grab rebounds. Nod to CP3 for the first triple double and snagging 10 boards (more than both of our front court). Great to see Jamal come back and pass the 15k point mark. Reggie finally getting some burn, been a fan of letting rooks get some good minutes, and I think he could be solid if he were to work on his defense (Hayward was torching him). No CDR siting tonight which was weird.

Really gotta bring our A game on Wednesday but I'm glad we can sit at 3-1 right now.

of course...i forgot to post something to be excited about. seeing this live was dope though. stupid Utah fan nearby kept talking and i just kept jabbing back.

We have a lot of guys who's value offensively are tied to their shooting. That's what they are out there for. As long as they are good shots, I don't mind the jumpers.

Nice to See Reggie Bullock showing that he has the capacity to be a capable 3 man. He'll probably never ever in his NBA career get an opportunity as good as this one. Took some steps towards making the most out of that opportunity tonight.

Saw some good things tonight, and some not so good things tonight. Still working through it, getting better finding a rhythm on both ends of the floor. You can start to see some glimpses of who we can be potentially. It's coming. Wednesday and Saturday will be some fantastic assessment games. Anticipating them.

Blake and these long 2's are killing me lowkey. He gotta chill on those, or make those 3 pointers.

Aside from that, there is nothing happening on either end of the floor. That's very alarming. I know Lawdog alluded to a bit of some regression from the Clips, and I now see it. On Defense they aren't defending with a purpose at all, and offensively they've regressed a bit as well. This was the best offense in the league last year especially when it was clicking. Right now, the ball is just staying on the perimeter, with a bunch of screen rolls that don't amount to anything which results in a long blake 2 or something of the sort for the most part. No Fluidty in the offense at all.

Still early, but they've got to find a rhythm on offense asap. Can't be letting these games slip away in the early going like this. The Losses aren't the big deal, it's the way we're playing. I'm still not worried, but I would love to see them start to put a string of good games together here starting saturday.

Also, Matt Barnes being out there on the floor is becoming a huge problem. His ineptness is blowing up almost every offensive set we try to get into.

JJ bicycle! :pimp:
Crawford :pimp:
DJ :pimp:
CP3 :pimp:
Barnes :pimp:

Dat Defense after the first 10 min of the game was so ******* beautiful. The closeouts and rotations were so damn crisp. Almost shed a single tear watching it.

Now do it Again.
