Thank god. Nene played well last night. At least in the first half he did a great job on AD. But got some really really touchy foul calls for holding in the first half putting him in foul trouble.

Are main issue is playing hard till the game is over. Silly turnovers occured due to laziness and that can't become a habit. Especially if we plan on being elite in the playoffs.

Road trip finished how I expected. Still mad at that OKC finish.

Side note: I did not see Atlanta rolling like this. They are playing some good ball down there. Hope the current standings hold for the playoffs. I want the Cavs in the 1st round purely for entertainment and to help my pockets

I know the Heat aren't what they used to be but I dont think any team wants to see them in a 7-game series.

:smokin

Edit: oddly i thought i would of gotten tired of that gif but i havent.

Pretty sure all of the attention is on the GB/Cowgirls game but ATL's defense is serious.

At what point will management finally concede that our biggest problem is coaching?

When you look at the success of the Hawks, and the way they've surpassed the Wizards with their team defense, how can you not say "we missed out?"  Look at the difference a coaching change has made in Golden State this season.  When you lose to the Spurs' reserves, that's not due to a talent disparity.

The Wizards should've made a coaching change last season, but we overachieved and grew complacent.  We're paying for it now.

Randy still doing a fine job. I mean I contribute our defensive improvement partially to him. At this point the main thing we could approve on is another shot creator off the bench.

We just gave up 120 to Atlanta.  We consistently struggle to defend the pick and roll.

Like Glen Rice Jr.?

You can't look at this afternoon's loss and say, "we were one shot creator away."  Yeah, if that shot creator were Michael Jordan, perhaps we could've scored 130.

Straight up: we have better talent than Atlanta, but they CRUSH us in the coaching department.  It's not even close.  That is just a better organized and prepared basketball team.

Is there a way we could get an offensive coaching consultant? I stand behind Witt but our offense looks so basic and disjointed at times. Plus I never see anyone cut to the basket in our halfcourt sets. Its all mid range shots, post ups, kick outs for 3s. Feel like we thrive off low percentage or contested shots.

I think we are right there with ANY team in terms of talent and depth. Just need some help with the offensive philosophy.

What more would you like with the offense. The drive and kick clearly work as were the best 3 point shooting team in the league. I'd like them to post Kevin more.

Finally, someone else realizes our biggest flaw is coaching!!!! We have more talent than Toronto and Atlanta but they always beat us. Ernie tried to compensate by signing smarter vets but it can't mask Witt's deficiencies.

Thank you! I don't know how Whitman got the new contract. The improvement in this team wasn't because of Whitman it was because John Wall improving his game...

Wittman has the backing of every player on that roster. Wall/Nene REALLY went to bat for him when things were hard a few years back. On top of it all, dude coached his *** off in the playoffs. I have no problems with him at all.

This is a bit of an overreaction, IMO. We still have a LONG way to go in this NBA season. This Wizards team is on pace for 50+ wins, which would be their highest total in decades. Let's see how the season plays out before trying to take Witt's job.

You have a good point, but didn't Step Curry have Mark Jackson's back?

Wittman's offense is way to simple, but that's just me

Steph did, but the front office didn't. That's the difference. Front office is with Wittman 100%.

This is why I say to give it time. There are highs and lows of every NBA season. Best believe that both Atlanta and Golden State will have some struggles at some point.

You know, two seasons ago I remember telling you guys be patient, don't go calling for Randy's head. Still the same thing. It's not like this team has maxed it's potential, nor has he in my opinion. Like Double said, the front office and the players are behind him 100%. Is the basic offense an issue? Yeah. But how many coaches are really going to step in and get what Randy does at this time, that are available? They're better off bring in a great assistant to fix the offense. Take Phil Jax for example, great coach but Tex made that offense. Even in GS Gentry is behind that offensive juggernaut. I'd love to see Pringles brought in but he may feel above a job like that. His offense with this personnel, specifically John, would be a terror.
