Just looked up Sessions' stats this season, and WOW he's been terrible this year

Honestly I would rather have Andre to finish the season out, then find his replacement through the draft or free agency. The more I examine this move, the more I scratch my head. We'd rather have Sessions over Nate Robinson? We needed a sparkplug off the bench, someone who can generate their own shot. Not someone who can't shoot the ball with someone creating it for him.

And they were in a rush to do it, too, like "we'd better hurry up and get Ramon Sessions before somebody else beats us to him!"

Had they waited one hour they could've picked up a better player for the same expiring contract.  Had they waited out the deadline entirely, they could've just signed a better player via free agency or buyout.

And now we're on the hook for another year with this guy.  This was a panic move, with all the practical value of screaming underwater.

Sessions, at this point, will be able to relieve Wall for longer spurts than Miller. Miller, has been a non-factor for the past couple of weeks. If we don't want to run the risk of wearing Wall out before the playoffs, something had to be done.

Trust me, I, in no way, think that this is a move that is going to catapult the Wizards over the likes of Cleveland, Chicago, Toronto, etc. However, I do think that this move makes the Wizards marginally better. We have, what? 30 minutes left in the deadline? I'd be surprised if the Wizards are done dealing. I'm more comfortable with Sessions as the backup PG than Miller, but the bar ain't too high. I don't know what it would take to land Jarrett Jack, but let's hope that the Wizards have an ace up their sleeve to continue to address the backup guard spot.

If it's not Jack, then use the open roster spot for Bynum, Robinson, etc.
ramon sessions at this point is a known quantity, and to be fair he sucks. Miller was a great 3rd qtr 4th quarter bridge guard and could add win share. Session is a terrible downgrade.

Again, Miller was a non-factor for the past couple of weeks and has looked washed.

I am in NO WAY saying that Sessions is going to be a Godsend, but he has a chance to be better than what Miller was as of late. Simple as that.

Sooooo disappointed with the outcome from last night's game. Embarrassing effort from the players. Embarrassing gameplan by Wittman. SOMETHING has to give. From what I've been reading, it seems like Wittman is starting to lose the locker room a bit. That's no bueno.

Being reactionary would call for Wittman to be canned immediately. But that won't solve much, IMO.

It is what it is at this point, and I think the team just needs to finish the season out, THEN reevaluate what the plan should be going forward. There is a VERY thin line right now between the Wizards righting the ship or becoming the 13/14 version of the Indiana Pacers.

3-11 vs. top 4 seeds in the East speaks VOLUMES.

Beal can't stay healthy
Gortat and his massive contract is looking worse by the day (can't get minutes either)
Too many jump shots
lack of communication on offense/defense

it goes on and on...

We did face the hottest team in the league

Still regardless i couldnt finish that game how ugly it was from early

I think yall are exaggerating, Wittman has done a good job building a offense around our personal, I dont think we can go foward offensively without changing up some of our personal

But i feel like i can see him on thhe way out after a quick playoff out

Whatever offense he built does not cut it in the NBA, you don't win with two pointers when your opponent is dropping threes like clockwork. Defense and offense has been pathetic, I have no solution and neither does Wittman

I hope Bradley comes back soon, before the entire season goes to ****. This is last year's Pacers all over again.

The Ramon Sessions trade seems lateral to me. If anything its basically telling Temple to get it together and spell Wall when he needs a break. Andre was a liability on defense. If anything sessions HAS to play better defense then Andre. But i don't think this move helps or hurts us. I obviously would have rather had Jack but not for Otto and a pick. I would have taken Norris Cole over Sessions at least he is a high effort guy and will play defense if nothing else.

I am not ready to call us terrible again quite yet. Its a slump...for now  Beal will come back hopefully Martell will get better with more court time and Gortat can start to look like himself some time soon. But man we really need a good 3 point shooter in the line up to spread the floor. Watching us on friday get crushed by cleveland and shoot whatever it was 0 for the first 12 from 3 was pathetic

@ expecting anything out of Martell Webster. He's DONE.

Team just overachieved early on. Looking back...the roster isn't as good as their record suggested. That deep frontcourt doesn't look so deep anymore either. It's time to upgrade at the 4 spot. Nene is not a starter at this point in his career.

Without Beal we really don't have a go-to guy. John Wall isn't a guy that can carry a team scoring the basketball, so if you don't have multiple guys who aren't scoring threats...you're in trouble.

I think Nene is more then capable of being a starter in this league. His health has always been the concern not his talent level.

If i was a betting man id bet on first round exit this year. We have 0 depth. Our starting 5 all healthy and playing well can hang with anyone. Wall-Beal-Pierce-Gortat-Nene. But aside from that the only bench guy really giving us effort it seems is Hump. So many games this year ive watched just saying put John back in...just hurry up and put john back in before we blow this. Our second unit is terrible

He's 32 and injury prone. He can start...but he's not an ideal starter on a team that wants to contend. Not at this point in his career.

Looking ahead to 2016...does a team with championship aspirations really have Paul Pierce and Nene starting for them?

I don't think so.

I just don't know what happened to the bench . This was actually a strong point for the team early on.

They overachieved. On paper you can argue that it was never that good to begin with. Nothing really went down how we envisioned it would.

1) We thought Glen Rice Jr. and Otto Porter would be major contributors off the bench.

2) There were ZERO expectations on Rasual Butler and Kevin Seraphin. They both ended up being surprises and major contributors. Butler went from being icing on the cake...to relied upon...and now back to being Rasual Butler.  We should NEVER have had to rely on a guy that barely made the team and we did. When he started that cold streak the team suffered.

3) Our backup point guard...despite decent spurts at times...was still a fossil. That should have been a red flag from the jump. He just got hit up for 28 by Austin Rivers. That's not someone who should be a key backup on a contending team.

4) Alot of people in here were more excited about the Blair signing than the Humphries signing. Fast forward, one of them ended up being the 15th man who's highlight of the season was throwing a ***** fit at the other one during a game.

Add in Beal's constant injuries, Gortat's uninspired play, Wittman's awful rotations, and the fact that John Wall is not built to be a major scoring threat...and what's happening now actually makes alot of sense.

This upcoming summer is going to be very interesting. I think there's more work to be done than last summer. One positive is that we'll have what likely is gonna be a mid 1st round pick. Hopefully, Ernie doesn't trade it for Kevin Martin or some ****.

But with proper rest i think he is the last of our worries. Look at the Spurs last year aging players with high Basketball IQ with some young talent and incredible depth (oh yeah and great coaching ). I think Nene and Pierce could start for us and we can still be a winning team (not championship but as good as last year). I think we need help in tons of other places first. Our depth is pathetic at this point.

I do agree that this summer should be interesting to see what we do.

I'm going to tonight's game, and even though Steph is out, I have a feeling we're gonna get washed...

The Cavs made some good trades after the beginning of the season started out bad, and they're BALLIN now....

Meanwhile, we got Sessions, cut GRJ and made zero upgrades...
