Official 2015 NFL Draft Thread

first time in this thread.

but i still cant believe Jameis Winston will be the #1 overall pick.

oh and i think mariotta will be just as bad before that gets twisted.

@AlbertBreer: Six days until the draft, so I'll send you into the weekend with nine nuggets to chew on after a ton of calls made and a lot more to go ...

1) Changing attitudes towards drugs? LSU CB Jalen Collins is a test case. Had multiple failed tests in college, per sources with 4 teams.

2) Likelihood now is Marcus Mariota goes 2nd overall. My feeling is Tennessee likes him more than most think. Very well could be a Titan.

3) Watch DeVante Parker. Some prefer him to Kevin White, bc he’s more pro-ready. Parker is closer to Cooper/White than to the pack at WR.

4) In the teens, there'll be guys drafted who other clubs have much lower grades on. So last 20 picks of 1st round = unpredictable.

5) Reason for that? Lots of disagreement on rank of players at certain positions (DE, OL, CB). Reason for THAT: More young juniors (20 y.o.)

6) RB class is outstanding, and that could hurt those guys’ first-round chances, with clubs believing they can get a solid player later.

7) Safest player? Leonard Williams – the one non-QB you hear trade-up buzz on. But “safest” not always best (i.e. Gallery, Curry, etc.)

8 ) Cooper could go anywhere 3-6. White/Parker good shot at Top 10. After that at WR? Wide open, and Nelson Agholor could well be next.

9) The crapshoot on the OL is particularly intriguing. Florida OT DJ Humphries took 15 visits, a sign of work lineman-needy teams are doing.

"Multiple sources" tell the Miami Herald that the Dolphins "covet" Georgia RB Todd Gurley, and "would love" for Gurley to fall to them at No. 14.
No. 14 would be considered a "fall" for Gurley, who is now seen as a probable top-ten pick. Many NFL evaluators view Gurley as one of the best all-around players in an otherwise weak 2015 draft class. The Herald spoke to Miami Heat team physician Harlan Selesnick, who said the risk of an ACL re-tear is just two percent for pro athletes. "The success rate in terms of stability is really quite good," Selesnick stated. "You don’t see a lot of guys having a repeat ACL surgery. You can usually feel comfortable taking one of those players."

it needs to be Thursday already

surprised MIA has interest in Gurley, Lamar looked good last season

Patiently waiting for that Mike Mayock Mock.  In 2013 he was the only one having us drafting Pugh, and in 2014 he had us taking Ebron with Beckham going one pick behind us.

Also heard that the Dolphins may also be leaking how much they love Gurley to make a RB needy team give up an extra 2nd to trade up for him.

Jones is athletic freak which generally means you are a stud in the NFL or you are out of the league in 3 years

no middle ground

I heard your cries and I'm here to restore order. I know Father Time is about through with you, but no way you forgot about this Chester

I can't even think of an elite duck off the top of my head.

When people say "0regon ducks" (who mentions 0regon ) what's the first thing that comes to mind? I'll wait.

Remember that one time when Georgia won something? Hell, remember when they won 11 games?

Georgia's biggest victory of the last 25 years is against Hawaii.

Hawaii.

I personally don't have a problem if the Dolphins draft Gurley to back up Lamar Miller.

If they do, I also think they might try to pull this OG Marpet kid from Marist or some **** like that.

I "hope" they finish out the Defense with CB/MLB the first two rounds, but if they decided to complete the offense instead, I wouldn't be upset about it.
