Chargers are in a weird position with Phil. If he doesn't sign, they could franchise tag him, but that'll be like $20 mil next season.

After that, they'll have no leverage. Phil still has a solid 4-5 years left in him too.

agreed, problem is if he refuses any kind of extension it puts them in a bad place and a franchise tag will probably get ugly
