Official 2015 NFL Draft Thread

is Peat a better pick than Scherff for NYG at 9?
its close i think Peat gets the slight edge.

should be interesting, both NY teams looking for that OT.

but the giants are known to take best player available so it could be anyone.

even Cooper...

imagine?

After a year with the events surrounding Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson, Greg Hardy (and the NFL subsequently fumbling the punishments), DeflateGate and the Aaron Hernandez trial, we now enter a draft featuring:

- The No. overall 1 pick playing in the state where he's accused of rape

- A OT who left to be questioned about a murder, & is now MIA

-A DE cited for marijuana possession days before the draft

- A DE freefalling for a depression-induced marijuana addiction

This is unprecedented, and what happens tonight is unprecedented. It'll be a show tonight...

Miami's Clive Walford met with 15 teams at the combine, and Maxx Williams met with 9.

I don't usually compare visits as it relates to interest in a player, but is it possible Walford will be the first tight end of the board and not Williams, who was viewed as a first-round pick early on? At least one NFL scout is on record in the Washington Post saying he was turned off by the confidence Maxx Williams had in his combine interview with whatever team the anonymous scout works for.

Have we ever heard of that before? We've heard of players being called cocky after first impressions, unprepared, disinterested, etc., but "too much confidence" is not typically a negative, except in this case. What the hell was he wielding in that interview?

I think I'd rather slide down and take Humphries or flowers..

hell if I could get enough from one of the teams that want a WR (maybe white.. but parker should be there) or possibly a DE.. I think tj clemmings could be special later on and more importantly will be available post 20 (also fisher is solid also)

Age of Ultron is two and a half hours plus previews son. You aren't making it out of there til 10PM then add on whatever it takes for you to get home. Gonna end up only seeing the last 10 picks or so.
7PM PST, so I'll get a solid 2 hours in (since it starts at 5).

Might have to be "that guy" tonight tho... checking my phone every 2 mins during the movie.

ask the manager is they can put the draft ticker on the bottom of the screen.

According to NFL Media analyst Lance Zierlein, one of the prospects who has hurt his stock the most in interviews with teams is Miami tight end Clive Walford.

"He acted like he was doing us a favor by even talking to us," one NFL tight end coach told Zierlein. "We asked about an issue he had and he got pissy."

Walford was one of the players who appeared to have shot up draft boards across the league after a good performance at the Senior Bowl, but he has slid backward ever since thanks to his injury history and bad attitude in interviews at both the NFL Scouting Combine and during private visits with teams.

it depends.. teams meet with guys when they have questions.. sooo walford getting more visits might just be a product of what he produced at Miami vs how he tested/graded out

like a ton of teams met with Gregory because of his issues and I assume trying see if he was worth the risk

@Chester McFloppy

He's from around my way, big party for him out here tonight. Wish him the best.

Crazy part is he was much better in basketball than football, just like my guy Cruz.
if we stay at 20.. I wouldn't mind taking him and letting him sit for a year.. or stepping in at guard..

but for a dude who has only played on offensive for two years, you can see the potential

this is kind of wild

La'el Collins has requested to be made eligible for supplemental draft and removed from this weekend's draft, according to league sources...

Honestly if Cox and Kendricks are available the Giants should just send our 1st and 3rd, and then everyones happy
