How good do people think MM8 can be in the NFL given that he is pretty much a system QB?
Obviously, he'd be a good fit for the Eagles, but if he lands with another team, is he a franchise QB? Other than athletic intangibles, I never saw him in the same light as a young franchise QB like Andrew Luck. Is the hype worth the pick?

thats an interesting comparison. Though Marcus definitely has a better build suited for the NFL also he's not coming off major injuries like Colt. Colt will forever be that dude out here.

This has never made sense to me.
What system are we talking about? What QBs are included in said system?
The only QBs that have even played in the system as MM8 are:
Jeremiah Masoli, a ****** who couldn't throw.
Dennis Dixon, coming off a knee injury.
Darren Thomas, a guy who was almost 50/50 on every throw.
Where were these guys drafted? Were they even half as good as Marcus?
Look at the Cal QBs before and after Rodgers. They played in the same system as Mr. Rodgers and didn't do **** in the NFL. Rodgers was dropped in the draft because of said system/Tedford and look what happened.
The system stuff sucks. Either the player has it or they don't. I'm not going to hold Ponder/Manuel against Jameis, so why hold Masoli against MM8?

Can't blame an NFL GM for not wanting a guy who never ran a pro system in college
