What do you guys think about the United States Park Police?

Do any of you all work for, or know someone that works for the United States Park Police? I'm really considering persuing a career with them. What do you guys think about them? In's and Outs? They seem to be the only federal law enforcement agency that actually does REAL police work like local police agencies.
 
they were cool...never had any problems but got a fair share of warnings, mostly for hanging out on the mall late nights in college...

Wait a mall is private property, why would park police be there?
 
my dumb *** step brother got busted by them with 6 kids in a car full of drugs and alcohol; all underage which is a felony in a state park :smh:

the national mall in DC, the park police have jurisdiction...

my friends and i would sometimes hang out around there or the monuments in the evening...campus was a few blocks from it
 
The park police in NYC duties are a lot different than an officer that covers large state parks or national parks..

By me (NYC) park police really don't do much but call the real cops imo.

The DC metropolitian area.. Which is District 1 for the U.S. park police..
 
Park Police can pull you over in MD, VA, or DC. Seen ppl speed past them like it's all good and boom he throw's those lights on. Be careful, they don't have jurisdiction or something in this area.

Which is why they have one of the coolest jobs ever, although, they get paid the lowest among the federal law enforcement agencies
 
I know mad folks that work for Capitol Police, I'll ask... I know atleast one knows some Park Police, I don't personally know any tho

WHat do they say about U.S. Capitol Police? I was actually on the process with them, but wasn't selected after doing all of the process.
