Wandering

My Prelude was the first car I got that was stick shift. My boy gave me a pretty good lesson but I could never get a grasp of letting of the clutch and not stalling out or making the car jerk. So since I didn't want to do this in broad day I would take drives weeknights after 11.30/12.00 and practice all through south Queens. Once I got the hang of it it was some of the best nights I've ever had, just cruising through my city bumping Jeezy and switching gears.

When I got my exhaust I had a CEL pop up cause no o2 spacer. With my inspection coming up I reset the light and put the spacer on but had to put 50 miles on the car. Ended up driving around till I reached deep into Long Island. Lost track of time but it was still pretty fun driving aimlessly without being rushed.

Any hidden gems in NY?
IDK about "hidden gems" but Prospect Park in Brooklyn is highly slept on. It's literally like a different world. If you take the time to just walk around the damn thing you'll make a new discovery every time.

I'd never go into Long Island alone. My pops has told me too many horror stories

When my youngest turns 18, I plan to take a 6 month wandering vacay.  Purchase a brand new range rover. head down the 101 from WA to CA, then the 10 out to FL, up the 95 then back west on the 80.

40cal under my seat, hook ups for greenery when refill needed, hotels reserved in major cities, and probably do some volunteer work in disadvantage neighborhoods especially Indian reservations.

16 more yrs to save....

I used to push through Phoenix doing this all the time. A couple of times I had to drive to Tucson and ended up really enjoying myself, it's about a 2 hour mission. Found some really cool thrift stores and got some great gear.

Breh, just yesterday I took baseline from e mesa to laveen instead of the 60 just to catch the sunset.  Saw some nice smoke shops in tempe!

Yup. Drove to Arkansas one day and back when I was bored. My crew will never let me live that down. I was real bored and just kept driving like forest bump or something.

I copped a bicycle for this reason. I'll keep it going next year when I hop in a new whip and motorcycle.

Kinda did this recently. Had to help my parenta move. Drove from ND to NY then on to SC and FL. Then drove from FL to ND  took me 10 days and about 6k miles on the rental. Stopped in a bunch of places along the way just checking out a different places. Was fun but tiring since i did all the driving myself

One day when I have the time and money. I want to go to the airport and ask for the next ticket out and just take that flight for the hell of it. Hopefully I don't end up in mobile Alabama.

My engine light on so I can't do this  gonna get it fixed soon though. I do this with walking. It's really relaxing.

I've never been but people from mobile love to rave about how their Mardi Gras is better than NOLA. Since it was founded there. Just a whole bunch of bs but worth checking out.

I do this all the time in around my huge city and rural areas. I put 40k miles on my car in 10 months.. all back roads, short cuts, alternative routes is unlocked!
