2018/19 Philadelphia 76ers Thread: The Process Continues

How does it go from healing properly on January 24 to not in less than a month..smh..the sixers man.

With the lakers free falling and the Kings actually winning games..we need to play these dudes..the team winning anyway..it's a waste of time not to have these guys on the court this season.

Forget that. Just this week headlines were him being out for the season to playing after the all star break to now having to reevaluate his injury. No headline by philly in 2017 was honest. Not about Jah, not about Embiid and certainly not about Simmons.

I dont necessarily think that the speculation of reporters can always be directly traced back to the gm

At this point I dont care about the draft picks..The Lakers and kings aren't getting significantly better in the next 2 years IMO and picks will eventually convey..I think it's more important to get Simmons and Embiid on the court together for how many games it is and see how its works..it's a very deep draft..I rather see Simmons and Embiid play fall a little in the draft and draft maybe a Nitilikina.

I partially agree with this. Now reports are coming out saying that Jah was close to getting traded to Portland and that's why he was out until Portland pulled out last minute for the trade to Denver.

But now it's a matter of who was lying, the Colangelo trying to save face or the Philly staff making up the whole story of Jah being pulled out to increase his trade value. Philly keeps changing their stories about Jah, Simmons day after day. I don't know what to believe.

the email they sent out discussing Embiid's injury

they are trying to do so much damage control they completely ****** season ticket holders, how the hell are you going to raise people's tickets in the risers like 300% and tell them it's because it's now VIP?!?!

these people owned throughout the process and now you screw them...pretty ******

What did the email say? Do you think Embiid will be playing the first game after All Star break at home against the Wizards? I have tickets and I'm gonna be really pissed off if he's not...

I didn't even read it but it came out hours after the Simmons news leaked but Embiid said he was playing the 24th so we shall see

rumors are Simmons is going to play the last 10-12 games and that is the plan

Do you have season tickets? The tickets I got for the game ended up being some season ticket holders that give us access to get in 30 mins before everybody else and go down by the court during warmups and meet the players. I'm wondering how Embiid and Simmons will be about that.

I'm interested in seeing what the pick was between this trade. Cause like if it's not some crazy restrictions on it, I'm not sure what colangelo was thinking not pulling the trigger for Ohkafor

yeah I'm hearing it was a lot of protections involved on the pelicans end but I would have still Probably pulled it. It seems the bulls are the only team left.

True. But if it's like top 10-15 protected or something, I could see why Colangelo would want Hield thrown in. Chances are your basically giving Okafor away for free

When is saw embiid at xfinity this summer he wasnt tryna take a pic i felt like a rejected groupie

BC did the right thing by not trading with New Orleans. Remember we have the rights to swap picks with the Kings this year, and a top 10 protected pick in 2018 that goes fully unprotected in 2019. We can easily have another top 5 pick while not tanking again that could be used in a trade for say Jimmy Butler or Paul George. Yes, Okafor is still on the team but we can still move him

Edit nvm. I'm not doing it for a top 20 protected. That's trading him for a washing machine. No matter how much you don't like him that's a horrible trade

I would have taken Buddy straight up, wtf is BC doing?!? :x

Bro we sure as hell could not have gotten Buddy for Okafor

They were offering us a damn top 20 protected pick that we probably wouldn't have gotten til like 10 years from now, Tyreke's expiring and probably a 2nd rounder or something in a future draft. I'm glad we didn't take that.

Now the Kings are one team that could definitely use Okafor. I'd trade him for McLemore if possible.
