2018/19 Philadelphia 76ers Thread: The Process Continues

It's hard for me to root for this team until Colonjello is gone.

Sorry. That's just horrible.

Embiid will be held out the next 4 games.

I'm legit so ******* pissed. I dropped $200 on a 13th row ticket behind the Sixers bench to watch him play tomorrow night and I'm going to be watching McConnell, Gerald Henderson, Stauskas, Covington and Richaun Holmes. Dario is probably gonna have to shoot like 30 times.

This isn't fair to the fans that bought these tickets that were raised for this game because it was supposed to be Simmons debut. Now he still isn't playing even though he's working out til like 3AM on Instagram live and Embiid isn't playing either even though he's been completely fine, dancing his *** off on stage, playing 1 on 1 vs fans at ASW, just went through a full practice today and was even practicing god damn barefoot at the end of practice.

I wanna know who I can write an email to or call about this to file a complaint for wasting mine and other fan's money with this BS.

Yall ninjas overreacting. I'm not paying Nerlens 20mil a year to be a back up lol better something than nothing

I keep seeing this "backup" talk. He could still push right around 30 minutes coming off the bench. Who cares whether or not the minutes come as a starter or with the second unit. And having a starting caliber guy (with elite defense) in our second unit would've been a great luxury.

We could've easily just re-signed him and flipped him some other time. This trade was a complete joke. The "1st round pick" was clear BS with the 1-18 protection thrown in. It was always two 2nds. The Nets got a better deal for Bojan Bogdanovic :x :x :x :x. We probably could've gotten a similar deal for Okafor.

We weren't gonna resign him. And then we have to pay Embiid next summer. Do you really want to have max contracts for Noel and Embiid and then Ben and Dario down the line? I certainly don't. Also since Nerlens is restricted, we wouldn't be able to trade him until after the draft (assuming we match the offer a team would throw out {which would most likely be a max})

Hot take: Richaun Holmes can do everything Nerlens does + shoot. Probably isn't the elite defender Nerlens is but he can protect the rim

The only thing that bothers me about Holmes is that he sucks at rebounding & his hands are trash. Seen him drop so many possible assists & easy boards. He only catches the ball for alley oops lol

And Nerlens has better hands? Lol not trying to talk down on Nerlens but he used to drop a ton of easy passes (even more than Agholor smh)

They both do but Nerlens was a bit better. Maybe thats cuz of experience. I do feel as tho Holmes has a higher ceiling cuz he has a more natural shot. Nerlens jawn still gotta a lil hitch to it

Still wish Oak was traded instead of everyone we did end up trading
