2018/19 Philadelphia 76ers Thread: The Process Continues

Simmons is gonna see time at the point, just watch

I hope Richardson is they at 24

I would move Okafor tbh

Why trade either? Simmons isn't a 4 and Thera no way to trust Embiid to stay healthy.

It's been proven they can't play together..The floor spacing were terrible this year when both were on the floor..which only gets worst with Simmons who mostly drives to the basket..which is why I lean towards Noel because I feel he'll finish better under the rim when Ben needs to dump them passes off..plus If we can get a guard that can shoot and can come right in and start.I say do it..

I don't think Okafor will ever develop a defensive game, I would move him for a top 10 pick

Another reason I like Noel also..he's way more equipped to handle pick and rolls and switches..He fit right into our defensive big men role..

If we can get that 3rd pick from Boston and draft Murray or Dunn..Ill be more than happy..But I don't see Ainge doing that..

pick 3 is actually a very real possibly if the rumors of Boston really wanting him at the deadline are true

I would take Murray at #3 or possibly Buddy

I think Murray is the perfect compliment to Simmons

Completely agree. Murray would be perfect, very good shooter at the 2.

I think it's time to get back to my season passes. I gave up my season passes two seasons ago. But this number one pick got me excited again.

I'm old enough to remember the 1996 draft and how a lot of people wanted Marbury over Iverson

dont overthink this, Simmons should be the pick

What a time to be alive.

Indeed...wentz..now Simmons..Philles playing great so far..Flyers just lost a hard fought playoff series...missanelli keep saying by 2020 every team in Philadelphia will be great...I'm starting to believe..

And if not it's going to make for good radio in the upcoming years

Agreed. Murray is definitely the guy we need at the 2. If he could fall to the Suns pick and we could trade Okafor for Brandon Knight and #5 (Murray) that would kill two birds with one stone.

mcw shot was going to improve as well, what happened there?

Exactly. It's been a two man race for the #1 pick since probably about mid season, this Ingram love didn't just happen overnight. I've seen guys practice shooting millions of jumpers to try to improve their shot and not improve a lick. Some guys just can't shoot. Ingram's weakness right now is his strength and that's the easiest thing to improve if he's motivated enough to change it...and from what he did to change it from high school to college and now what I hear he's doing from college to the pros it seems like he has no problem putting in the work to do it.

Its have been players who came into the league with suspect jumpers and now are good shooters..2 that come to mind is A.davis and B.Griffin..

But really No one knows how these 2 players will pan out...but right now Simmons is the better prospect..I'm going Simmons and if he fails I know I picked the best player and I'll live with that.

Where my Philly phans at? So we got Simmons, and we have 3 other bigs that will be hungry for time. Do we deal Jahlil and get a tenured PG?

I actually like Lin to share PG duties with Simmons and Ish (if he is still on the team). He is also a good veteran presence.

The goal for the offseason is to sign a competent PG, trade one or two of our bigs for equal value and pray that Sacramento keeps up their mess so we can nab their high draft pick next year.

Ideally, we would get someone line Knight...I was thinking of maybe trading Jahlil for Knight + Chriss. That way you kill two birds with one stone and PHX gets a potential cornerstone player. Not to mention getting rid of redundancies at PF and PG.

I would really like knight on this team..he don't turn 25 until December..So he's still very young..And he can play off the ball and knock down the open 3..Plus people forget he was the catalyst that got the Bucks into the playoffs that one year..the Bucks really haven't been the same since he left.

Thats very true..but there gotta be some give and take..Im looking around the league and most of the young PGs are locked up...The Suns situation allows us to get a good Point guard..it's either that or just get a stop gap.

I used to be on the train of thought that we deal for a PG ASAP especially for a Dunn, but hearing how loaded with guards next year's draft is is making me reconsider when you think about the Kings swap and the Lakers pick.

I think I would rather go with a cheaper option because next year's draft is loaded

Knight makes like $17 million a year and has 4 years left on his deal I believe

I was thinking the same thing too..but I also kinda want to resolve the big man issue we have..I think trading for knight would kill two birds with one stone.

And I got my eye on josh Jackson for next year draft..its been a while since a game changing SG came into league..I think the position is so weak right now in the NBA..that if you can grab a superstar there you would really have leg up on the competition.
