Anybody been to Chateau Avalon Hotel in KC?

So i'm looking to book this hotel for wifey and I, Looks like a amazing place to get away for a weekend. Nice rooms, competitive rates, just overall looks like a great place for a romantic get away. But when i read the reviews there are some pretty bad ones, so i call and of course the gal went above and beyond and i booked. so how many NTers have been here or heard about it? I booked the Hemingway room which is pretty dope with a fireplace and jacuzzi in the room. hope i didn't waste $! 

nobody has been or heard anything about this place?
