Anybody here hip to the RFC Crew (Running from Cops)? They were a graffiti/criminal crew in NYC in the 90's who hung out on West 3rd Street in the Village. They boosted, and made North Face hot in NYC. Remember this is when rappers wore what the streets wore not the other way around. They also used to mob hard and just cut people up. Mobb Deep type of wild. This write up explains it better: http://massappeal.com/rast-rfc-running-from-cops-a-hip-hop-odyssey/
The leader of the crew Rast wrote this he started rapping lately so he's been getting some attention on the internet about his old crew. If anyone remembers them from back in the day stories are welcome. They seem to be well known to people that hung out in Manhattan in the early to mid 90's. Here's some pics:

Yea, I remember them.

Funny because I was going to mention how many 3 letter/3 number crews there were back then.

RFC, NBC etc. 357, 456 etc.

And I see he actually mentions 357 in the article.

Good times.

Great read
Hopefully homie and his bro shine together. Remember seeing their work in old source magazines back in the 90s

What do you remember about them? Any war stories or ill **** like seeing them trade Lo & kicks on West 3rd? I wanna hear. And no he didn't mention anything called 357 in the article.

"We also became close with some of the tougher kids from that ‘hood — cats like RD, DE3, LACE, CHAX, and CIDE — the 357 crew. 357 was the first real gang we were down with; they took us in and embraced us."

I USED TO GRAFF in the earl 2000. met some of those dudes being that im from the LES. they was mostly done by then.

Certain parts of my neighborhood where off limits if you where not from there with them dudes around.
