So I installed OS X Yosemite on my 2012 macbook and its great and all

but things boot up pretty slowly (I never open up more than 3 apps at a time). No virus or any of that since I keep this laptop clean but I'm just assuming that the stock hd just can't handle it.

Will replacing it with an ssd make it run better? And if so, which ssd do you guys recommend?

I was thinking of the 500 gb samsung 850 pro. yay or nay?

thanks in advance.
