I'm in for the Aways. If I like them a lot, I'll probably get the Rip City too.
So is it safe to say the defect was only on the original Rip City pairs?

Being told it was a precautionary recall. There were a few reported problems and instead of dealing with bad press and returns, they wanted to check the problem. So, here they come.

Could it have been just some quality control issues?
Schwolo had his strap ripped and on Nightwings pair, there was some separation as the seam of the tongue so it seems there are imperfections in some the pairs out there?

Adidas pulls some BS sometimes, but they clearly weren't playing around with this issue. Still, it has to be something about the Rip City in particular since the other colorways are still ready to go.

I love the cushioning setup on the HyperRev 2016. I wouldn't say it's at the Jordan XX9 level, but I get a great bounce from it. Running up and down the court is a joy. Not as much court feel, but I would say it's close to the original HyperRevs with more durable materials and better traction.

Since I've been trying to be more selective/smarter with what I pick up these days, I definitely have made the choice to hold out on the Kyries and give these a run instead. From all that we've been hearing, the traction is solid on the Kyrie 2 and I have tried them on and figure I will like them, but I'm after these Lillard 2s first for sure...

Rose 6's will definitely go lower.
I don't know about sizing and availability online, but if you wait long enough I'd lean towards them dropping. I can't believe this day has come, but I don't even think Rose is the best player on his team, nor does he have the nicest shoes in my opinion. Butler's XX9 Lows look awesome. A far cry from the Creator series and 1/1.5 days.

That's not Jimmy's shoe though. Rose 6 isn't bad IMO. Probably my favorite Rose model. I just need to play on boost. I've heard incredible things and my UBs confirm that and I haven't even really unlocked their true potential because I don't run in them, activating the foam more which is supposed to be when it gets real good.

Meh, Rose 6 didn't do much for me. I know a lot of people think highly of it. Maybe I'll try a primeknit version sometime. I kind of gave up on his line after the 2 and 3, both of which I detested. Loved the SN Creator and Rose 1.
My preference is easily the XX9 over the Rose 6. I'd take GR colorways of the XX9 Low over anything Rose has actually worn.
I have lots of optimism for the full-length Boost bball shoes scheduled for the future though. If done right it could really raise the bar and make everyone else catch up.

I found the D rose 6 had to much cushion for me, walking and jumping was great but trying to sprint form a standstill feel like doing it on a bed

Imo, full boost for basketball just seems too much. In general, you want a shoe that's responsive and has great court feel, for guards and small forwards at least.
I feel like adi found a great compromise with that in bounce. Low to the ground, comfort, court feel and response.

Am I the only one who didn't feel the Rose 6 cushioning at all? I found it to be a very hard shoe. It gave me protection, but in terms of cushioning and energy return I just didn't feel it. I felt similar about my Crazylight Boost 2015 but I have a couple of pairs of ZX8000 Boost which I love for it's cushioning. The Rose 6 just feels like a solid shoe, but I may be in the minority when I say the cushioning is nothing to write home about. I thought it would be on a Hyperrev 1 level, but it reminds me of the LeBron 11s in terms of weight and cushioning.

I got the Halloween pair. Have had it in my rotation (always in my bag). I've been trying to break it in for two months, and I play about an hour and a half twice to three times a week. It's not a bad playing experience by any means, and I really like the lockdown. It's just that the boost doesn't feel unlocked. I do feel like I have better court feel than my 2016 Hyperrevs, but those are more fun for me to play in. I think what I'm really missing is good forefoot cushioning. I'm a shooter though, so I don't generally need the same court feel as a point guard. Hustle, defense and jump shooting. I'm not going to be crossing anyone over anytime soon.

I am extremely tempted to pick-up the aways this Fri, but decided that I will hold off... trying to exercise a little control and wait for that Home pair. It's the typical new year's resolution, but I legit am trying to cut the habit for 2016

It's not crappy, but it taking a step backwards compared to the bounce setup on the regular versions, imo.
