The Official Adidas D Lillard 1

I know it's too early to judge, but that outsole pattern doesn't look very promising for traction.
It looks like a mishmash of the Rose 5 and Crazylight Boost traction. Haven't tried either, so can't speak for the traction, But maybe the final traction looks a little different.

Makes sense.  He's the main guy pushing the Boosts.

I am ready for his sigs though.  He just dropped 43 in triple OT against San Antonio.

Dame was killing it tonight. He's so fun to watch, need to watch more Portland games. Hope they drop something special for the ASG(no question he'll make it).

Man I just watched the highlights of that game.  Dame plays with swagger, simple as that.  That corner step back 3 was insane.

I hope he makes it on the All Star team.  It's loaded in the west with PG's.  CP3, Tony Parker, SC30, Westbrook.  I could see Dame being the odd man out, but he is making a name for himself.

Thanks for posting!

SIgn me up for a pair already.  Not feeling the lack of symmetry with the logos, or in a way I guess they are symmetrical, but first world problems.  I'm all in for these.

This was EXACTLY what my first thoughts were. Really not sure about the logos being all over the place, but looks like a solid shoe. And as a few folks have mentioned, they look like a nice continuation of Gil's old line.

Peace,
J

Don't mind all the logos but the logo on the right heel is too big. Just the 3 stripes would've been fine.

My problem is more that none of the logos match. Two different logos on the tongue and two different ones on the heel. To me, 4 different logos in 4 different places is overkill. 1 for the tongue and 1 for the heel would've looked way better. And I definitely agree with you about the logo size on the heel. WAY too big.

Peace,
J

Those pics make the shoe even better.  The adidas logo is a little weird but I'm still going to cop.

I liked the performance and looks of the first Gil Zero, but the second was horrible to me.  Too clunky and the cushioning was hard as hell.  The one Gil shoe I really wanted that didn't see major release was the supernatural creator low.  That's one of my all time grails.

^Maybe. But don't discount Lillard. He's in a small market and plays in a loaded West. It's tough to sell folks on him because how many get to watch him play? I've been a Blazers fan since Clyde. Loved the JailBlazers too. This franchise has reinvented themselves, despite Oden and Roy not panning out. May not be this year, but L.A. and D Lillard are gonna break through. Lillard is starting to stake his claim on the big stage.

QFT. Lillard is a big thing. He is just in that small market, but I believe his style of play will attract more fans as they make their way into the playoffs and he gets more national attention.

No kidding. Blazers making some noise again. They've beaten some very good teams this season and if the playoffs started now, they'd be the second seed in the west.

Lillard is right up with the best young PG's in the league, if not the best young PG period. There would be way more hype around him if he was in LA or NY, but then again expectations and pressure would be higher too. I'm glad he gets a chance to develop in Portland with guys like Aldridge and Lopez. What a gem in that draft class.

Can't wait for more details on his sig. and release dates.

Yeah I agree with Dame, but Steph is arguably the most popular/visible he has ever been and I guess UA is doing well with the new ClutchFits but I still don't see the following that he should be getting, if that makes sense.

What Nike was able to do was secure guys who were names before they even entered the league. For example, KD was a monster at Texas and LBJ was probably the most hyped prospect since his early HS days we've ever seen. I had no idea who Lillard was and Curry I knew only from his tournament run, but this is just my opinion as to why some guys who should be getting the love they deserve don't.

^Everything you say makes sense. I love both of those guys games (Steph/Lillard) because they came from smaller schools. Both 3/4 year guys respectively.Nobody wants the seasoned , mature guys. For every KD/Kobe/LBJ there are 2x as many failures. I initially enjoyed both KD/LBJ early models because of their price points. Then popularity kicked in and I said eff it. I think the KD1 is the best shoe nobody's checking for. I hope for parity's sake amongst the sneaker business, Steph and Dame stay with their companies. I like the fact guys like Tony Parker, KG, Kevin Love and Tim Duncan left Nike. But again for every 1 that leaves, 2-3 more sign. I still buy Nike's and Jordan's, but they are the models that aren't on FTL launch calendars. I prefer Reebok, Adidas, UA, even the Peak TP1/Way of Wades now because they've created good looking sneakers that are turning heads. This shoe will not overtake d rose on the adidas roster, but they give people more options than just the latest Nike retro.
