Brah's, I need some perspective on this. I got a test tomorrow morning and I felt I should go outside and get something to eat, something light. Had a craving for a subway sandwich so I head there. I get there and it's the same 50 year-old guy working the line so I put my order in and he rings me up. I peeped when he was cashing me out that I saw $2.00 for a juice so I checked the receipt and there it was. I didn't get any juice so I tell him. He says sorry and gives me $2.00 back.

I tell him it's okay it's an honest mistake. I proceed to leave and he says "Hey, when you get a good job maybe you can afford it". I stop in my tracks and ask him to repeat that. He says "Nothing, just leave."

I go back and ask him to run that back. Plays like he's deaf. I grab him by the collar and he apologizes but not a second after I grabbed his collar I just let him go. I felt I was getting way too caught up in this and I felt bad and just left. I was still heated but dude just came all types of sideways that I felt I couldn't control myself.

Why is it so hard to let such petty stuff go?

I wasn't gonna hit the guy but dude just irked the **** outta me with that comment. Shoulda just shrugged it off, right?

/Dear Diary

Ignore him? it was a stupid comment but even anyone with money wouldnt just give away $2.00 for free when they didnt order something. thats just idiotic. Clearly dude was running a scam or something SRS

How is someone working at subway going to talk about having a good job

. You make sandwiches for a living.

You're such a calm and peaceful dude usually  I don't blame you though dude shouldn't have made that comment. It's not about the money, it's the principal that you didn't buy a juice. I personally would've hit him with the, man you're working in a Subway shut up, but the best thing overall would've been to just ignore the ignorance and move on completely.

Yo this thread is lulz

Brah I'm that guy always checking my ego at the door but those small comments, they hit viciously. Now that I look back at it I really started getting upset when he said "nothing, just leave." Like he didn't think I was gonna get in his face about it and tell me to leave makes me look like i'm gonna cause a scene.

I literally was gonna go write a bad review on yelp but then I thought "Why the **** you gonna write a negative review about a subway franchise, people still gonna eat that **** at the end of the day".

I wouldn't grab him.. I would've talk trash though and never spend another penny at that subway again..

You grabbed a 50 year old dude by the collar? Did he hit you right in the feels... was there any truth to it?

Never had a stranger come at me sideways like that.

Yoking him up was a lil OD but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. He'll think twice next time he wants to talk noise.

Update next time you go in :nerd: Or will you go back?

Same sort of thing recently happened to me at a restaurant. I noticed right after I paid with my credit card that I was overcharged by about $3. I point it out to the waitress, she runs off and comes back to hand me a $5 bill.

I'm like "why are you giving me $5?" She's like "don't worry, it comes out of my pocket, it's OK that you need the money so bad."

I laughed it off, free $5 because it was on my work credit card.

People spend so much no matter what money they make, just live in debt (or off their parents). Most people making minimum wage don't even care about a few bucks.

Bruh his life sucks. His daughter gettin her back blown out by a dude that makes more than him n don't let him forget. His wife eating footlongs, while he make em. His neighbors are college kids kuz he rents an apartment. N to make things worse, Gregory, who's a junior in hs, just made assistant manager n he just got demoted to cheeseman. You just couldn't let him have one win? That's* ***d up bro!

I would not of put the hands on him. Probably would just say "eat a **** old *****" and keep it moving

My manager does stuff like that sometimes, if you don't go along with what he wants you to say or do, he'll add a lil slick comment that's lightweight disrespectful. They're just miserable people with motives that want to irk you. You getting mad validates their efforts.

Just brush it off OP. Dude might have been in a bad place and got carried away with the slick talk. He's not worth your time, even in hindsight.

When you think about it, the guy could literally die tomorrow, and Subway would still be open the following day serving you crusty *** 11" subs on some chump $^*^ footlong prices without skipping a beat. Who knows, you could have had it worse too, he sounds like the type to drop a couple pubes in the olive tub

Plus you still got a test, that ish aint going away no matter what Jared said to you.
