No Artist Has Went Platinum This Year

I copped Ross, Jeezy, and Kaze (Spirit of 94) this year. That's it. I try to by 5-6 albums a year just to support my favorite artists.

All you older younger 80's baby's killed the music industry in the 2000's by downloading music and not buying CDs

Now the 90's baby's dont download anymore only stream

Making money off music is dead unless you got a following for live shows

I'm one of the few who still buys cd's/dvd
One of the few huh?

Are we really that surprised @ these low numbers' fellas? Internet killing album sale's has been established bro's.

I wouldn't even say the quality of music has gone down because that would be naive of us to believe other artists/bands aren't killing it in their respective genre.

500K is the new platinum.

This.

We can't forget that the 4th quarter is the best time to release an album for established artists/band's. Not sure what's lined up but there might be a platinum album before this year is over.

Timeout yall thought Jeezy's album sucked? That's primetime snow right there

I lol'ed. Gibbs>Jeezy dawg

Artist will eat from sponsorship in the future....but only if they have that true star power.

the technology killed the industry. I remeber 96 at SEARS. The lady tellin us bout the cdrw drive. Im like , wait, WHAT!?
why is this here? why are we able to make our own cds? This shouldn't be available. Dont you know what this is gonna do to the industry??
( I was 12 mind you) You know the damage I am going to do with this ???

But, **** it, i'll take the blame

Technology killed a lot more than the music industry. Pretty soon its going to be at a point were its doing more harm than good.

A lot of people will commit suicide because of technology

I knew someone would. Lol

BTW

Killing the music industry is a good thing. Keep in mind that the music we love will not go anywhere.

There just won't be a company or label that will be allowed to push what product/artist they want to sell down our throats. The consumers now have the choice.

What the heck.... Taylor running' this industry...

THIS.

Everyone is so quick to jump on that technology = bad bandwagon.

Nah. Our favorite rappers were getting ROBBED in 90s and 2000s with all the album sales. How many cents were they making per album? How many rappers are broke from those contracts? The industry sucks.

Technology gives the artist power. That's what I prefer.
