NFL Week 7 In Review...

Chiefs...

-Wow, HUGE W. Didn't see that coming at all.

-Should be favored in their next two (maybe three) games...might get interesting.

-Reid after Byes...
pimp.gif

-Keep getting the ball to Jamaal

Rest of the NFL...

-Seahawks...I really don't think they are that good.

-Bears...uhh...yeah...

-Dallas and Arizona are really good...battle for the number one seed in the NFC...maybe...?

-Rodgers best QB in the NFL.

-Indy showing how good they are, Cincy showing they are frauds.

Oh! Almost forgot! Congrats to Peyton...absolutely dominated SF last night...

Let me remind everyone...from Week 6 in review...from @nawghtyhare...

"My NINERS showing why were one of the top teams in the nfl

and then wrote me a nice poem about why SF is better than KC (which I already knew)

So, you have anything to say my friend?

Chiefs win was very impressive to me; they controlled that entire game

time of possession was 39 min to 21 min

Why? What's the difference?

Cause it's a stupid discussion? What don't you know? He's the best regular season QB ever and unequivocally top 5 of all-time. The man is a machine out there at the QB position. Playoff football is different and the best TEAMS win, not the best QB's. Those Indy teams never had great defense and in many ways, the Broncos teams he's had the past two years are the most loaded team he's had. Especially this year's version. He's doing things at his age which no other QB has ever done. So what don't you know exactly?

Just appreciate the man.

Please show me where I said he's not an all-time great or anything along those lines? You're getting defensive for no ******* reason....which I'm not surprised.

Whether it's right or wrong, QBs are judged off of rings. They are held to a different standard. You can try to say otherwise, but you damn well know it's true. And as I said before, for a guy as decorated at Manning, I feel like he should have more than one. However, the way the league is currently set up, EVERYTHING is going in his direction. I'd honestly be shocked (barring injury) if the Broncos come up short this year.

Dan Marino is the best passer in NFL history and doesn't have a ring.

Peyton Manning is in the GOAT tier. Whether you have him as #1 or #5 it doesn't matter.

agree 100%

and i don't think JJ's was going there. was just talking specifically about his playoff track record. nothing to do with his status as one of the greats

The only people who judge off rings are those who are incapable of actually looking at things in a more complicated and nuanced way. If you think Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith have worthy discussions, well, then maybe you judge players off rings. But I like to think of myself as smarter than that.

Bring yourself above the mediocrity of those discussions, you have it in you man.

But why bring the playoffs even up, it's just midseason now? It's just not even a timely comment to interject and come off as being a troll even if he didn't mean too. Keep that **** in that ******ed *** "Peyton Manning is overrated thread."

Lots of QB's have won Superbowl rings, incluing Trent Dilfer. Over 30 I assume have won QB's super bowl rings, only one has thrown for 509 TD's and counting. I don't know, maybe it's just me but I consider the latter more impressive.

I've been wondering about this since I haven't caught many Lions games live, does the coach hate him or something? he gets NO touches anymore

Reggie has been hurt with a bad ankle....

Also Stafford hasn't played as sharp, but a lot of blame goes to our OC Joe Lombardi. Dudes play calling has been so bad, almost like we are on training wheels. Even the announcers yesterday were saying the play calling is like the team is in neutral the entire game. He runs the offensive play calling to all check downs and horrible run plays. If the coach could call a better gave Stafford would be alright throwing it more vertical. Hopefully we can see more of this since once Calvin returns.

You're really not though and you're giving yourself too much credit.

It's just a tired discussion that gets brought up every two weeks. Almost every great player has a blemish or flaw against them. Peyton's is his postseason record.

It's ******* week 8 and we're talking about it again. :smh: Can we please just let things play out?

That's all I'm getting at. I would never question Manning's "greatness" because he is one of the best to ever lace 'em up. However, his playoff track record (team/individual...or however you look at it) does come in to play.

As great as Marino was, you all know that rings are always brought up in the discussion. Fair or not, that's just how it is in sports.

cowboys:

-good to see we were able to come back after that nice seattle win & get a division win as well... great set of back to back wins
-murray with seven straight 100 yrd games :nthat:
-as dominate as murray has been, i hope we can get him some rest & get a little more of a rotation going with our backs. its tough when he's been this good, but with his injury history, (& that scare yesterday) we need him to last the whole season
-escobar season :smokin

everyone else:

-peyton manning... nothing else needs to be said
- at the broncos playing keep away with mannings TD ball
-rams with the trick plays
-browns with the failed trick play
-great all around game from wilson... seahawks with the L though
-amazing last drive by orton

You're really not though and you're giving yourself too much credit.

C'mon now

And it is odd timing for a playoff failure post unless from JJW..since I think he had one last night minutes after the record

You would think once Calvin comes back that deep passes to him and underneath stuff to Tate with checks owns to Bush and Ebron would be unstoppable....I think that OC Lombardi isn't quite able to utilize all of that though.

Another week went by where Andy Reid forgot Travis Kelce is on his roster.
