Hannibal Buress Calls Bill Cosby Out

Hannibal Buress is that dude, seen him perform live 3 times already :pimp: I see no problem with him calling out Bill Cosby.

I wish he or someone else would start the "Control"/"Ether" of comedians; but I think that community is too close to each other anyway.

 at the Cosby gifs.

You believe every accusation levied against someone?

Okay, let's talk about Kobe Bryant. Do you like him?

Hmm, Kobe, accused once and the accuser refused to testify because she wanted a civil suit and he's never accused again.

Not really similar at all my friend.

If he's been accused that many times and has never seen the inside of a cell but has "settled" civil suits for a sum of money? What is that? A come down?

Would Lamar from 53rd get a chance to settle if he got accused of rape? No

Once again, he's been accused by over a dozen different women over 4 decades.

If it was even only 3 times I'd give him the benefit of the doubt maybe but that's not the case.

Great that you bring up Lamar from 53rd, he wouldn't have the money/connections/legal counsil that Cosby has so he would be in jail like Cosby should be.

So you do like Kobe Bryant, 'eh?

Typical.

"Last week, Newsweek interviewed Tamara Green, one of 13 women who accused Bill Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting them in a civil lawsuit brought by Andrea Constand in 2004, and settled under undisclosed terms in 2006. Now, a second woman is speaking out: Barbara Bowman, a 46-year-old artist who says Cosby took her under his wing in the late ‘80s, when she was a teenager -- and repeatedly emotionally and physically abused her.

Both Bowman and Green joined the 2004 lawsuit as witnesses after hearing about it on television; neither had anything to gain financially, as the statute of limitations had expired for both of them. "

"nah Bill didnt do it they just want a come up"

:rolleyes

Yea ignore what I said and keep deflecting.

I'm sure Cosby needs your support, maybe he'll give you a settlement too, you're earning it.
No, you see, I've been pretty clear. If Cosby has indeed raped anyone, he should do time.

That is something I do not think you should get out of, by simply reaching a settlement. Rape is very serious, and even women's right groups take issue with the reaching of monetary settlements against celebs and athletes, as it weakens the position harassment, and sexual discrimination. It makes the accuser seem to be out for money.

Now, here is the other issue that you are not addressing, of course Cosby is human, then not perfect, what is Hannibal gaining by airing out Bill Cosby in this manner?

Personally, I've never heard of him prior to this thread.

Read an excerpt from the disturbing interview from Newsweek:
The first time I was drugged for sure was in New York, when [Bill Cosby] invited me to dinner at his apartment. There was a chef, a butler; we had dinner, it was all fine. I had one glass of wine and then I blacked out. I woke up throwing up in the toilet, and he was standing over me, pulling my hair out of my face. I was wearing a white t-shirt that wasn’t mine, and he was in a white robe.
I think the final time I was assaulted by him was in Atlantic City. He took me there for a show and got me very drunk

How you get drugged one night do nothing about it then go out with the dude again?

In 2005, Cosby apologized to one of his accusers, Andrea Constand, even though prosecutors found “insufficient credible and admissible evidence” to support her claims. Cosby still settled the lawsuit for an undisclosed sum of money.

Never taking sexual assault lightly or making a joke out of it but I've seen over and over famous people get targeted for sexual assault. The accused never goes to jail but the accuser gets paid. If Cosby raped you send his *** to jail don't go on another date with him then decide oh yea I think I was raped. Let me get these attention points. I'm getting numb to it.

Yup.

Don't give me google, that means NOTHING.

What has he done, other than to run his mouth?
You want to know what Dyson has done other than talk as if giving lectures to the community doesn't help some ppl.

Look it up yourself, maybe you'll learn something. I mean if you want to front on him being a college professor and his books go ahead. Pretty clear you're looking for something specific since you're trying to compare him to Cosby which is again just plain ignorance since you're only looking to diminish one black man's contributions while you defend another's :smh: Well look it up yourself and maybe you'll find it.

yea him trying be on a high horse instead of enlightening the youth and actually using him fame and power to uplift instead of bring down is upsetting to me

but what do u expect from a serial rapist.
I get the feeling that you are calling him an uppity ******, correct?
No. Bill literally does sound like he's talking down to ppl not like he's disappointed but as if he's better than them from time to time. Tough love is great but I can see how his disposition undercuts his message to some black ppl.

And Kobe's a rapist.

R.kelly isn't in jail either so I guess he didn't do anything wrong. :rolleyes

Don't get me wrong if it was one chick or even two give him the benefit of the doubt, that its the usual trying to get cash out of a celebrity scheme but 13? c'mon man

Oh that's funny.

The reason I have my opinion of Dyson, is because I do KNOW something.

Watching he, Cornel West and Sharpton  go after each other, is witnessing nothing but a circle jerk of numbskulls screaming for attention.

Once people like that become preachers, there is a huge problem. It's not enough to be an academic, right?

Dyson downed Cosby, then showing his own *** at the same time. If you are going to go at Bill Cosby like that, then say what he has done right, then not only going after where he has failed.

Cosby is responsible for saving several HBCU's from financial disaster, is a major contributor to the Endowment of Arts, and is currently at the helm of creating the Slavery Museum in Virginia.  We are talking educational opportunities for Black people, and Dyson ignored that? For what reason other than to bring about attention for himself, that this individual Burress has successfully brought about for himself?

If Dyson goes away tomorrow, other than his students, who will really remember him?

Now, if Cosby goes away . . .

. . .that's right, I love how America loves to celebrate successful and influential Black men, after they are dead and gone.

 I wonder WHY that is?

Meanwhile, the mediocre remain around, so they can tell the story.

Came in this thread for the Cosby gif's that were guaranteed to bring the lulz, stayed for the trial of Bill Cosby with NT's plaintiff and defense counsel arguing like cats and dogs.

No it's true.

If you stole money from someone and a murderer told you that what you did was wrong, does the mans integrity invalidate his statement?

Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of Cosby outside his show. Some of his comments come off as 'out of touch' rather than commentary. He's done alot of good for the black community. However, I think that one or two allegations of something can be chalked up to being famous and the traps that come with that--- but 13? Somethings up. Still though, that doesn't automatically mean that the things he's said over the years are invalid.

Hannibal Burress was making a joke, rooted in that very same premise that Bill Cosby is a person with faults and you can't fully trust something blindly. Thats it. It was a good joke too

Damn, this is one of those things that got swept under the rug hard I guess. I really thought this was common knowledge. But it's not something I hear people talk about a lot.

Cosby is a scumbag but you can't say the dude isn't a legend or not recognize his contributions. His stuff from the 60's and Himself are legendary

Bill Cosby is the black person white people who don't like black people would create if tasked with building the prototypical black person. The white people would go to work creating a black man whose main claim to fame is portraying the most Caucasian black doctor the world has ever seen. The white people would clothe the black man in questionable clothing choices. The height of the created black man's urban cred would be voicing a cartoon junkyard band that plays the drums on a trashcan lid. Said band would go on to inspire the most Caucasian thing ever - Stomp. The black man would try to get black men to act like white men by blaming them for being subjugated.

What does this mean? Help me out.
