no artist has gone platinum period this year...so that would be in this current sales climate if taylor swift can do a million first week . This album is supposed to be full fledged pop ...which has been selling poorly recently ..lady gaga, miley cyrus , katy perry all did disappointing numbers relative to their singles/touring success...if the country crowd backs off of this project then the three peat might not happen...
