Why are you guys so caught up in your egos that you so easily overlook the very same laws put forth for you to carry out??...all because you find yourself in a situation where your ego as an authority figure is bruised!??...when will the abuse of power stop?...is there not anything else for you to do than abuse your power and flex muscle on a street performer???..someone who posed no threat and who the public actually enjoys?....something that defines the core of what New York is?????!!!

bros, im livid after watching this video and would really like some officers input on this....what changes in your personality when you put that badge on??...i refuse to believe that a police officer feels he cant possibly take an L and walk away.

someone please embed for me.

"It's none of your business!"

Cops' go to phrase.

When the cop forced his guitar off and he kept singing

:pimp: :pimp:

Does the badge change people?  Hell yeah it does.

But I'd say more often than not, it just magnifies who these people have always been inside.  The perceived power of that badge, the gun and the cop brotherhood behind them gives them the balls to act like that.  Dudes like this would be silent peons without that badge.  Trust.

true.

Same with money

I saw a comment on another article about NYPD's ******* that made everything make sense to me and it was something along the lines of this: "this is what happens when the least educated people in society become cops"

My two cents. This is what happens when you have so many people that essentially live a sheltered, relatively secure life but at the same time, through movies, internet, music, tv, and video games, they are immersed in violence and brutality. They are a product of their environment just the same as anyone else.

We call it the "10lb Badge" syndrome... this is DEFINITELY true to some Cops.

it starts with the system thats "passes" these morons as cops. how is it mentally unstable, power hungry, egotistical, uneducated ppl become the ones that are supposed to be the exact opposite of all that so they can protect and serve correctly.

Notice how he "accidentally" hits him with the guitar when removing it just before the other officers came through.

Punk

i could never defend cops, but some of yall dont know what they deal with... especially when u have to police a population that is either uneducated, or they don't give a damn about nothing.... i

The ppl can police themselves. We don't need their brotherhood giving us tickets and harassing and destroying our lives sending hundreds of thousands a year to prison. I'm good.. give me one scenario when a police officer has been useful in your life. After u we're robbed? What u file a report and recoup your things? Doubt it. When else? Neighbors music too loud? It's rare police are useful in day to day life. They're called in for domestic violence disputes and random other frivolous nonsense. Aside from being first responders to violent offenses I think they need to butt out They're really jus not neccessary in the scale n depth that they exist. Taxation.

hold on famb.

I disagree on this.

I think cops keep a lot of people FROM doing bad things

I havent seen the video. I dont have FB.
But why are we blaming individual cops? This is a systematic issue. Day in and day out working with the scum of society cant be good for your mental health. Law enforcement should have X hrs/month mandatory paid therapy sessions.

Youve seen things escalate quickly far too often, so you come in turnt up at 100. Your just trying to go home the same way you came in.

Been to Chicago, Vermont and Seattle the last couple of months, I think I saw 3 cops in Chicago (didn't go into the south side) none in Vermont and 1 patrol car in Seattle, I can walk down the block ANYWHERE and guarantee some sort of police activity....it just feels like there is just too many cops in NYPD on pay roll and really not enough crime to compensate so the way I see it they create crime where there is none like in this video in order to document and justify, im sure their captains are stressing the importance of summons and arrests, which leads to a lot of injustice

Steeze only mad cause the guy is a hipster

No thread would be made if he was rocking a pelle pelle
