You can. Just because you have a gun on you doesn't mean you will use it. Most of the time, you won't use it. However, if you ever need to, it'll be ready.

Nah. I was just saying you don't need a gun to defend yourself and more importantly a gun is an offensive weapon once shots are fired. Shooting back aint guaranteeing you won't or others won't get shot.

you can't carry. If transporting your gun has to be separated from the ammo. No Fully automatic, clips more than 10 rounds, or detachable mags.
