The description says the day he got signed so I guess they brought him in to play some music once they saw Hot ***** blowing up.

He's a new artist, so he is performing for the executives so they can get an idea of what kind of artist he is before signing him.
They are also looking for ways that he can improve for when they put him through some artist development. Which he needs alot of.
