Bobby Shmurda Shucking and Jiving for his Epic Record Deal

He's a new artist, so he is performing for the executives so they can get an idea of what kind of artist he is before signing him.
They are also looking for ways that he can improve for when they put him through some artist development. Which he needs alot of.
This.

The difference between a ghost writer and a superstar is being able to turn up and put on a good show.

If you cant entertain 15 ppl in 1 room, how you gon do a show in front of 15,000?

Lyrics dont matter.

If you can put on a show and make catchy hooks, you can cash out.

Heard he got burnt on the contract though most likely on a 360.

These dudes need to understand Ma Dukes aint a lawyer/manager.

They signing these bum deals without letting a real lawyer explain to them what they are.

All artist do this for every label. I guess you guys think people just are too cool eh? Its a common practice. The label is selling you as a artist....a brand. They need to know as much about you or what you offer so they can figure out how to market you and prepare you for the consumer.

Like it or not these artist are items. Some you see can have longevity as a product and others you don't. These meetings can help determine this process. So knowning that, this was not akward at all.

It ain't shucking and jiving when yall shame people be in the club dancing to this. SMH overly rightous self hating ...m....nvm.

Don't get me wrong, I love to Schmoney Dance as much as the next *****, but 5 minutes on Shmurda? Pass.

That's like spending 5 minutes on MySpace trying to get your friends up.
ITS NOT HAPPENING

Nope you just don't get it. Yall quick to call everything shucking and jiving. Guess a touchdown dance is shucking and jiving too right? Cause I mean dancing after throwing down a pig skin ball for millions is being a  "J boo"

God that was uncomfortable.  I made it 10 seconds then skipped through.

Not one exec was vibin? Or head nodding?  Just everyone stone facing and staring....

Terrible analogy

dunno...i get both sides. its mad awkward too but thats what it is. i dunno. couldn't watch either like that. had to keep scrolling down then going back up lol.

Those few black people in that room, I really wonder how they felt watching this. Because they are technically working for the enemy that is exposing these young dudes. Can't possibly feel good man

It depends who you are and what dat heat look like

Do you really think drake had to do this when he was taking meetings around the time dude almost won a grammy off a mixtape? do you really think nicki was shaking her *** in front of a room of execs. Nope

because they already know what it is.

this dude Fd around and made a smashed. Him and his people really aint confident in dat product. As soon as they see the light theyre tryna cash out. Dude woulda done anything for that contract

Def depends on who you are/what you have. not positive but I don't even think Bobby has a mixtape or a mixtape worth of material out there. His crew aint even had sound cloud before 2014.

While labels take L's everyday by signing bums, you can at least attempt to justify handing over a mil+ to someone who most likely will never make that back.

Its funny how someone can say something on NT, kinda make a point with it, and they rest of yall run with it...

This.

I thought this was common in the industry... These labels aint just about to drop a bunch of money on a dude that dropped out of nowhere with just 1-2 tracks out... And for a dude that's known essentially for a dance and a lot of energy in his vid/performance, what else did ya'll expect him to showcase...

It only looks awkward because he's by himself. If his crew was around him and in the background as usual, I'd think we'd see some different reactions. People just saw one dude in a tie and a bunch of other Caucasians, and jumped to this assumption...

Plus, there was a group of people to the far left that seemed to be vibing and nodding there heads in likeness...

Way too many overreactions to this...

CRYING @ the slide across the table like he was Mama Payne / Dragonfly Jones...
