Man Shoots 13 Year Old Neighbor 9 Times Because Boy Laughed At His Burglarized Home

Indiana police are questioning a "person of interest" in the fatal shooting of a 13-year-old boy, who police said was shot after he got into a "verbal altercation" with a neighbor who went on a tirade through the neighborhood after his home was burglarized.

The Gary teen, identified as Kobe Jones, was shot nine times on Friday outside his home, about 30 miles south of Chicago, Gary police Sgt. Tom Decanter told NBC News. The person of interest is in custody but was not being named because charges have not yet been filed, Decanter said.

Decanter said the person they are questioning returned home Friday afternoon to find someone had broken into his home and was "visibly upset" as he canvassed the neighborhood, searching for a perpetrator. "Him and the victim apparently got into a verbal altercation, and the shots were fired," Decanter said.

"I was told that my son was laughing and the guy shot him dead," Jones' father, Kaunda Jones said, according to  NBC Chicago.

Damn Kobe. I have no clue how you can even make sense of 9 shots. 9? that's insanity. I mean, getting shot for laughing is one thing..but the sheer gravity of 9 times is pure brutality. No way he can escape with anything short of life in prison. He is not a safe human to walk amongst us.

i won't lie, if my house got broken into and some kid was being disresepectful and laughing at my misfortune i would be pretty heated, especially in the moment, but at no point would shooting the kid or even putting hands on him ever cross my mind. 
 
Violence isn't anything new but in this day and age it's the type of violence that's happening that's shocking.
People are unfolding,cracking under pressure, unstable and it's showing.
 
You gotta be innately evil to put nine bullets in a kid man.
