NFL Week 8 In Review...

-roethlisberger :wow:
-cardinals really stepped up at the end
-brady & the pats on a roll
-loved the early start time yesterday :smokin
-crazy win for the lions
-jets

I think Antonio Brown is top 1 right now.

If you talk about results, he's the best by a significant margin right now  He was incredible last year too.

The other big guys aren't really showing out this year outside of Jordy Nelson.

ummmmmm demaryius had a foot injury the first couple weeks and you could clearly see it was limiting him.. then he had his bye week 4

since the bye, dude has been RIDICULOUS

before bye (3 games played): 13 receptions for 141 yards and 1 td

after (4 games played): 34 receptions for 626 yards and 5 tds

Best season and best WR are not the same.
Maybe not on a "raw skills" basis, but doesn't he deserve to be discussed as the potential best after the last two years?

I don't see any good reasons to knock what he has accomplished.

Golden Tate only needs 99 yards (over the next 8 games) to top his career best in Seattle. :x

Hate the dude but he's been ballin out.

I mean, you'd put him as the top WR in the league based on his last 2 seasons? I think that's an easy question to answer.

I think that he is the best 2014 NFL receiver.  As of week 8.  That's all.

So far 60 receptions with 852 yards and 7 TDs.

Semantics. You're saying he's having the best season. I agree.

All of this 'who's the best WR talk' has surfaced because Calvin Johnson hasn't played right?

A couple of you simpletons said Houston wouldn't win more then 2 games.

not calling you out but wasn't it people in your own fan base saying that all offseason and planning for the number one pick?
everyone knew that since he held out in the offseason

I like that Ab is overlooked all the time. I think it keeps him fired up(Steve Smith style)

Yeah I guess so.

Count me skeptical on the Lynch rumors, the media is always going at this dude but I think it comes from a lack of understanding of his personality and how the coaching staff interacts with him.  Similar to how they say Frank Gore is going to lose his starting job every year.

...watch him get traded for a 6th rounder now that I said that...

Antonio Brown is like a modern day Jerry Rice. Doesn't have the physical stature of other receivers, but works his *** off and produces. He's been the most consistent receiver in the league since he became the #1 when mike Wallace left. Last year was his first season as the main option and he finished second in receptions (Garçon) and second in yards (Gordon). So far this season, he's first in receptions and second in yards by 14 (TY Hilton). He's also second in TD receptions by a WR (Cobb).

If you guys actually saw his games, you'd see the plays he makes. He makes some tough catches on a consistent basis. He can do anything that cj, aj, and dez can do.

In terms of not being the most physically dominant WR but putting up great numbers the comparison makes sense.

Obviously no one is touching jerry and his career

Obviously that's all I meant and clearly stated, but they'll try to take it out of context, because they have nothing else to come back with.

you said the guy isn't a big wide receiver and works out a lot

I understand what you are saying though

NFL:
-the 630am start was :smokin the league should have a game that early every week or at least 8 times a year...
-seahawks arent winning the super bowl this year, theyll be lucky to make the playoffs
-arizona is the best team in the NFC west
-who cares about the rest...

How out of context can you take a comparison to calling someone the modern day version of the GOAT WR, though?

AB is really good. Not denying tat. Don't believe he's the best WR in football and there are a few WR that I would take over him.

the saints are going 8-8 this year.

8-0 at home,  0-8 on the road.

wait they play tampa bay on the road later this year so maybe 9-7 with a 1-7 road record
