Thirsty NY Street Cats vol. Is it cause I'm ugly?!

Of course they didnt openly say this, but once you peel the layers back it brcomes clear. Like I said earlier, I didn't make it about race. Old girl made it about race when she cut out all the footage of white guys talking to her and only left in footage of blacks 'harassing' her.

Ok. Didn't know she left out footage purposely.

I dont think you would want to watch a full 10 hour video

Why do you insist on using false binaries? Why is it difficult for you to grasp the fact that there are those who acknowledge that stalking and street harassment by men in general, and black and latino men in this case, is wrong AND that race mediated Roberts' editing decisions and ultimately produced a racialized depiction of black and latino men as the predators? There is no contradiction.

Ok  she forced black and latino men to approach her on the street so she can cast them as predators. This is all the white woman fault. You got me bro, I understand now. Thanks.

Or maybe she just wasn't harassed by white men in suits down in the financial district ..

Wait nvm, that's not possible she's racist
If there is one thing I miss about television, it's those old commercials for "Reading is Fundamental."

At what point did I call Shoshana Roberts a "racist"? I said race--as an ideological construct; as a set of practices; as a vocabulary used to make sense of power relations--mediates the video editing process and the ways in which folks conclude who is and who isn't a predator.

Perhaps it has very little to do with reading, though. All too often, people, and to be precise, (white) liberals, cannot help but reduce a discussion of race, class, and sexual oppression to simplistic terms of whether the individual is or is not a racist. Unable to fully grasp the differences between race and racism, race as ideology and racist as descriptor, simpletons (those who feel guilty?) deny their own individual culpability and then wash their hands of the issues.

 you live in NYC right? How many times have you seen someone in the financial district stop to talk to anybody? Those people move a mile a minute
lol @ you trying to play the perpetual devils advocated, like you do in every thread.

The producer even said there were white men... But they were either off camera or "canceled by another noise"

Riiiiight...

And a black woman would not get 5M views in one day...

Sorry... It is what it is.

The message wouldn't be as deeply felt by the majority of people if it was a black woman getting harassed by black men, or even a black woman getting harassed by white men

I would say that black girls and Spanish girls probably get it worse.

Wasn't there a world star video of a "black" girl who got knocked out for ignoring some dudes?

Eh what about the video of the black brickhouse chick in the yellow bodysuit at the white art gallery? They were taking pictures of her
I meant attention as in drumming up conversation.

This video is on several news outlets, and has millions of views.

Make a similar video with a fine AAA black woman getting holla'd at and you just wouldn't get the same buzz.

And if you think I'm lying, you're naive to the media.

Yes, the real victim in this video are the black and latino men. They were targeted and preyed upon, I hope this white woman is ashamed of herself. :smh:

Damb. Some of yall are still goin in on the ACTRESS?

She's just an ACTRESS. Read somewhere she's getting rape threats because of this video
:x

And that's because black men don't support their black women but continue to blame white people for everything if it makes you feel any better
yeah... Because most of these opinions and people posting the video is white men...

Riiiight... White guys across the country are supporting this video... Not white women.

Seems legit.

Now white people made Bobby Shmurda hot

Listen man, I'm sorry I don't agree with blaming white people for everything.

We can let it go now

Now white people made Bobby Shmurda hot
laugh.gif
You are kidding yourself if you think otherwise. That has always been the case with rap. Black people at large aint paying for albums
no.....he blew up because that track went viral on social networks

and it was mainly minorities talking about that ****

Now white people made Bobby Shmurda hot

Listen man, I'm sorry I don't agree with blaming white people for everything.

We can let it go now
who's blaming white people for everything?

The video is clearly biased... And makes it seem like only black dudes and Latino dudes do it.

Even the producer said there were white dudes edited out.

How you're arguing this point, I don't even know. Lmao.

Then, you bring in other stuff like bobby Shmurda only for that to be shot down.
