During tonight's private event in New York for El-P and Killer Mike's recently releasedRun The Jewels 2  project, Nas - who is the head honcho of Mass Appeal  - came through to support and give a few words of wisdom. However, no gem was as big as the preview of new music Nas gave those in attendance, a preview of the first single from his upcoming new album featuring production from none other than J Dilla (the "Gobstopper" beat from his 2006 album Donuts).

For some of us, this is instantly hype-worthy and attention grabbing, as fans have been clamoring for something of this magnitude for years. But enough said, peep the preview below.

Wish nas joined GOOD music.

The story telling Nas over jazzy beats is instant classic. Dilla blessed him rip

Who told you've I lost it?
I just put it down for a second, damn
Can the king lounge for a second, kick his hooves up?
Grow stubble on the face for once without a smooth cut?

I mean...it's cool.

But Dilla's catalog has been thoroughly pillaged to the point where I just wish rappers would let him rest.

Couldn't disagree more with this opinion. In the age of mediocrity and the microwave attention span, Dilla's music being constantly used is a blessing. Nobody alive producing can create the magic he did and the fact that his music is still going strong is a testament to that.
