Megabus Appreciation

Just wanted to show my appreciation for the bus service Megabus, helps me get from Toronto to NYC for $1 each way often. Literally went 5 times to NYC and back in one year and paid $12 for all the travel. Service is inconsistent and sometimes bad but for the price I can't complain. Anyone else use Megabus?
 
If wanted to use it to get to la but haven't yet. What was the experience like? I know it's a charter bus but is it like greyhound? With fares so low how do they make a profit? Gas itself is expensive

There's always at least one $1 bus ticket per bus but once those are gone the prices go up so it's just a early bird promo, you gotta be quick to get it. Very similar to greyhound, Wi-Fi doenst work sometimes but Im not complaining.
 
Any advice on catching the $1 tickets? Wouldn't mind doing trips from SF to LA every now and then.
 
Actually took megabus recently and greyhound as well. Heres my comparision

Price: Megabus, greyhound was around twice as much.
Pick up: Greyhound had an actual station where you could sit down before the trip. Megabus did not have a station in Orlando and you had to wait in line standing.
Features: Both had wifi, wifi was as good as cellular service.
Bus: Both buses were decent, the double decker of megabus made it so you didnt have to sit next to anyone where the greyhound had less seats so it was more likely you had to sit next to someone.
 
I've gone to LA to Vegas for $5 round trip a few times. Dallas to Austin $3 round trip, and NY to Philly for $3 round trip this summer.

I paid $5 for a one way from LA to San Francisco a few weeks from now to reach a 49ers game, the bus coming back was more expensive so I just copped a cheap 1 way flight, but deals are easily accessible on megabus.
 
If youre a guy rolling solo or going with other guys i'm sure its fine. But if youre going with a girl, being cramped on a bus for 8 hours from toronto to nyc won't be too fun, but If you can cop it for a few dollars each way the price definitely can't be beat.
 
That you were talking about a new bus that picked up girls and filmed them **** **** and ******** ***** ****.
 
megabus is whack :lol:

if you on the west coast

bolt bus is the way to go

I do agree with you on the prices though, really cheap tickets...sometimes there's less than 10 people going from LA to the bay area
 
Since this the appreciation thread we need to post about some yamb pick ups. At least the Boltbus be :smokin , them megabus chicks look alright.

I take the bus to the crib a lot...

Dallas to Houston is normally a 4 hour drive...

I can relax, read, or text yambs.

Went on one for the first time about a month ago

Some insane guy was sitting behind me on the way down. He was talking out loud about how there are things watching him and other paranoia stuff, having conversations with himself, saying how he's not allowed in hotels anymore, and how it's kill or be killed

Used to catch megabus from memphis to chicago 11 hours of hell. Megabus has no formal line it's a mad dash, bolt bus is a little better.

In NYC they moved the boltbus and megabus stop to like 11th ave, I'm not walking those aves with luggage so I stick to greyhound which ends up being the same price as boltbus.

Unrelated to the topic, but does anyone know the name of this condition?

One time on the train, this one lady kept talking about the government is using cell phones to read our minds. Anytime somebody pulled out a phone, she would ask "Are you about to scan my brain?"
