LC: JORDAN 4 OREGON DUCKS

Personally, no. He's selling in a group. My legit check is more out of curiosity! So, can you tell me why these are fake Ricky?

There is no ds Oregon js. The team had to wear them for conferences these looks ds so I believe automaticly fake.

What do you mean? Nike (Jordan brand) produced this shoe in limited quantities. How can you tell if this particular pair did or did not come from Nike?
Ok I'm going to try and be very clear here.. However it's been a sec since I read about this..so some things may be off
1st a little history: The student section at UO were lacking on attending sporting events like woman's Bball, volleyball etc. These events needed to bring support for these athletes from the students and fans. Basically they wanted the Pit Crew to become something more than just a crowd that showed up to support the bigger games..This was basically an incentive to show up to all games and support your teams. This is what spawned the idea of the UO3.. 2 pairs, White for the Bball team, the Black pit crew pair for the Best fans.. There were ONLY, I REPEAT ONLY about 300 pair of each produced.. BB team was giving the white pairs and in order to get a black pair you had to attend an X amount of games/ events to be chosen worthy of a pair.. A mistake was made and an X amount of pairs were just handed out to high profile attendees...This is where the cookie crumbled so to speak..INSTANTLY 8 or so pairs made it to EBay for upwards of $6k..
This blatant disregard and disrespect for something special really got under the skin of Tinker and his design team because these were not produced to spur profit they were supposed to be a gift for being a true fan OR a valued athlete..BIG FAIL.. They turned off the tap and NO MORE pairs were released. Tink still has all remaining pairs of them on ice. So for the AJ3 OU versions there are actually legit pairs out there floating around but not many at all. I'd guess under 50 or so of each pairs.. So 9/10 UO3s you will ever see are 100% Fakes..PERIOD.

Now on to the 4s.. After the 3 debacle this would not happen again..Tinker got with Chip and talked biz. The football team would get a UO PE like the BBall team but leaking them WAS NOT an option.. Less pairs of these 4s were made under 100 pair I believe.. The team was givin them on Fri to wear to events, press conferences, games and such AND EACH AND EVERY PAIR WERE COLLECTED ON SUNDAY AND STORED BY THE EQIP MANAGER UNTILL NEXT WEEK. EVERY PAIR WERE ACCOUNTED FOR. This made the 4 more desirable than the 3 because people couldn't leak them without a hell fire raining down on them.. As a player you CAN NOT profit off of this type of thing BY NCAA LAW. This is considered paying an athlete. If I give you something that is School property and you sell it you have profited so by NCAA rules you were paid in a way...This means you could lose your scholarship, your position on the team, the program could face sanctions or go on probation etc..No player with good sense would risk that.. Especially NOT on Chip and Tinks watch..

So there are 0 legit pairs of UO4s on the market..10/10 pairs you see are fake..Unless the person wearing them is indeed a UO athlete.. EVERY pair have been worn so DS=Fake every time.. 5K wouldn't touch a legit pair of these honestly. They are literally so rare you could auction them to the highest bidder OR name your price...

You guys need to understand some things you just CANT have..It doesn't matter how much money you got or who you are, or who you know. These are VERY special and are not for the masses...Sadly the bootleggers also know this..So they made fakes. They flooded eBay, CL, Instagram etc..Decent fakes but still 100% fake.. You will NEVER come across a legit pair for sale IMHO. It's been designed that way. These were literally behind lock and key 5 days out of the week. You literally have a better chance of playing for the BULLS and getting stuck by lightning in the same day vs seeing a Legit pair of these on the open market..

Thanks @TIMMYBRIXXX  , appreciate you taking the time to write all that - it's very interesting.  While I can tell the authenticity of most sneakers at a glance with the right photo's, these ones stumped me a bit.

Looking on ebay now, there are a couple of pairs with bids of around 5k - crazy to think people are spending that much cash on fakes they could buy from taobao for $200.

No problem man.. As I said I could be wrong with a bit of that but there are a few articles online regarding it but you may have to dig for a while to find them..

I mean I'm not there so I can't speak for it all to be fact, I'm sure there MAY be a few legit pairs floating around but they should be big sizes bc they were team kicks.. Personally I wouldn't touch a pair of these with a 10' pole unless it could be proven and confirmed with fine detail where EXACTLY they came from.
