As a Flyknit enthusiast (I know all are not) I have found myself thinking up possibilities in my mind of classic Nike Models that would be dope with the Flyknit treatment.
I know some kicks just don't fit the Flyknit mold ( Such as several retro Jordans), but I would definitely like to see some retro runners, old Kobe's and even some trainers be transformed into Flyknit versions.
Below are my top three Nike series or kicks I would love to see given the treatment.
First would be the Kobe line and specifically the 4 - 8. Since the Kobe model went to the low starting with the Kobe 4 and the Kobe 9 low elite Flyknit has been such a success it would only make sense to try out other low top models. The first three would be hard to execute, but give the success of the Flyknit chucka, I'm sure Nike could come up with something dope.
Next would be the Nike Huarache. This seems like it could be an easy transition to the Flyknit world and a big hit with all runner enthusiast. I would vote to keep the neoprene sock liner and rubber heel support.
Last but not least would be the Air trainer 1, but this would most likely be a hard one to execute due to the strap.
Honorable mention would be the Air Max 90, Air Max 1, Air Max 97, KD IV and KD V.
Expanding older models to Flyknit could be very lucrative for Nike due to the premium price that the Flyknit designs commands.
I for one love the quality of the Flyknit and would be willing to shell out extra $$ for some of my favorite models.
