OFFICIAL STOCK MARKET AND ECONOMY THREAD VOL. A NEW CHAPTER

Ah. I thought it was a reaction to the PPV. Interesting that they put out a press release the morning after their biggest event.

yeah the wording was weird, it's like they lowered guidance but reinforced forecasts Idk. heard they're saying the network numbers are slightly below a million now.

The heck? Where was this 1.3M subscribers figure coming from?

might be cancellations or the report i read about it being just under a million is wrong

thinking maybe that TSLA news is battery related

Decided to finally jump in on Tesla. Gonna plan on holding it for the long term, maybe adding more in the near future if the stock doesn't jump too high. Curious as to the new product announcement; wonder if the new battery will actually reduce range anxiety (if it is a car battery; home battery would be interesting too).

Happy Good Friday peeps. On our day off, let us revisit what hype and psychology can do:

The good days :pimp:

MDCN hit .0008 recently. I actually made good money trading that one from 1.30-2 and 2.50-4.50. just goes to show how you can't trust OTCs and need to use them solely as a trading vehicle.

I started checking out some books for beginners but a few got bad reviews on Amazon UK because they applied more to the US markets.

I assumed most of what I'll read will still be informative anyway but should I start off primarily with books catered for the UK then venture out after?

I would. I'm sure the same general principles apply, but study YOUR market. The books likely use examples for you to better understand certain concepts, so you may want examples for companies you're more familiar with vs. US companies.

Anyone here still using Robinhood?

I follow the markets as I work in the industry, but have never had an account (too much BS with my firm's policies).

young stock so i dont have too many value area levels, but it needs to hold 29.49 (bottom of value for the month). remind me once march finishes and I'll let you know it's levels for April.
Should have looked at PLAY earlier, what's your take on it now

it's not a name i personally look to play (doesn't move as much, not a sector i care about, not sure if it even has options) but it could be setting up a breakout if it gets through today's highs. needs to hold 32.74-32.17 on a pull back. be careful of a double top if today's highs look like resistance. if it gets through and holds that 33.25 level, 34.26 looks possible. just have a plan with this one, sometimes these breakouts are traps and it pulls back before busting through. chart looks decent though if it holds those highs

 yeah i mean at first it seems that way and it's a lot of work in the beginning but i love them now. i basically am forced to trade only options since after blowing up my account last year i dont have enough to really do much with common.

weve all blown up. its just part of it. u mess with puts calls, or wriring? or are u into thr bull strattle stufff

mostly just day trading weeklies (calls and/or puts), sometimes playing unusual options activity, and occasionally swinging stuff with spreads. i've got a few butterflies on right now, small size with decent risk-reward if i'm right. i dont write or sell options naked, not trying to blow up again
