Tonight's Raw is in Buffalo, NY.  Right after tonight's show, half the crew leaves for London, and after tomorrow night's Smackdown in Albany, the other half of the crew will leave for Wales.  Next week's Raw and Smackdown will come from the UK.

In a strange turn of events, John Cena was pulled from the advertising for tonight's Raw.  This could simply be a miscommunication between the writing team and the advertising team, but there seems to be no reason that Cena should not be on tonight's show.  Especially if they are selecting the members of Cena's team for Survivor Series.

We do not know how the members of Team Cena and Team Authority will be selected.  Possibly qualifying matches.  Possibly a draft.  Of course, Team Authority is much easier to determine.  Of course they will have Kane and Seth Rollins.  The big question is will HHH wrestle.  If he does not, will we see Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury?

The other big question is what team will Randy Orton side with?  The way things are going, it seems as if he will turn his back on The Authority, but joining Team Cena doesn't feel right for Orton either.  The other note with Orton is that he will begin filming The Condemned 2 next week, and is not advertised for any upcoming shows.  It is a WWE produced movie, so they can move the schedule around to have him on WWE shows.  But he is not traveling to Europe, so he will definitely not be on next week's shows.

As for Team Cena, we seem to have eternal jobber, Dolph Ziggler.  After him, I would think maybe The Usos since they have teamed with Cena in the past.  I don't even know what other "top" (and I use top loosely") stars that could fit on Team Cena.

And just one sidenote, John Cena opposing the authority is a joke in itself.  John Cena represents everything that is the authority of WWE.  He's the ultimate company yes man.  It's just more of WWE thinking their fans are idiots and being happy to insult them.

The other big match we have for Survivor Series is Dean Ambrose vs Bray Wyatt.  There is still no good reason for this program.  I am very sad to see Ambrose get demoted down the card for this program.  Ambrose should be the #2 guy in the company behind Cena right now, but WWE isn't going to push him in that way.  I know there are some Bray supporters out there, but he just isn't that good or intriguing.  He's slightly above midcarder at best.

We also have Big Show vs Mark Henry which is sure to stink up the joint.

The only other match we have on the horizon is Rusev challenging Sheamus for the US Title.  This should be a fun brawl, and I'm all for Sheamus getting beat down.  I'm just worried about Rusev picking up the US Title because we know how US and IC Titleholders are treated.

Finally, the potential spoiler for tonight's show is:
Rey Mysterio is currently in Buffalo.  He went there to speak to Vince McMahon personally about wanting out.  Those in WWE creative were told to come up with ideas for him, and I know that they want him back.  Since he's there, it's possible he'll be on tonight's show.
Personally, I don't expect him to be on tonight's show.

I'm also very interested to see/hear how WWE pushes the WWE Network tonight after last week's extremely disappointing numbers.

Man I really hope Vince and Ronald can come to some sort of agreement on his contract..It'd be nice to see them give him a proper send off and let him make a farewell speech..

And WWE wonders why they have disappointing Network numbers

What is your thought on why Network numbers are low?

My thoughts in no specific order:
  • Creative sucks
  • Same few stars on top
  • Too much free content on TV. No reason to pay for more.
  • PPVs are not built well.  Not an incentive to pay for at any price.
  • Lack of intriguing content on the Network

They should just give the man a proper send off these last 2 months then terminate his contract on dec 31. Let him start new in 2015 elsewhere but that's too nice for Vince. Harper will probably wash him tonight.

Might not because of there fued with Itami and Balor going at the same time but the tag division is stale as ever so I hope we do. How many times are we going to see uso's vs dust bros???

They are backstage, that's why there's speculation.

Not having Brock Lesnar on PPVs. Dude could be the draw they need potentially to incite people to buy the Network, but nope.

SummerSlam and Night of Champions saw no increase to Network buys.  Though he may have been the reason that they remained in the 700k level.  It will be very interesting to see if Network numbers in Q4 fall which will not include Brock on any PPVs.

there isnt proper booking leading up to ppvs,THESE WRITERS SUCK,lazy booking over and over.

Interesting, I would've thought he'd make an impact.

I honestly still have my Network and really don't plan on getting rid of it. I don't even use it much outside of PPVs but that luxury of watching it on my TV without going through any hoops with streams makes it worth it. They gotta get their head out of their *** though with the booking. They need to stop burying people for the stupidest reasons.

If Vince wants to make money, he needs to realize every time he books a cluster**** finish or buries a talented young star, he's only hurting his pockets.

King Cena won't be here forever. Start building other people up and give us quality content.

Yesse do your questionnaire already if you haven't.

Vince is pulling all the strings. The writers just write whatever they think will please him. And the producers book finishes the same. Fit Finley has booked the same finish every week for the divas.

is it really that hard to book a wrestling show?

it's gotta be the fact that vince isn't hungry anymore. either that or he's even more delusional. just give us quality wrestling and don't bury talent.

well then we know what needs to happen...

4w,get them cartel homies on it bruh

Maybe if they would branch out and try to advertise to the people that haven't been beaten over the head with "9.99," then maybe their numbers would pick up.

What's the point of having this fantastic commercial

If the only people who see it are people who probably already have the network?

It's not that hard.  But when you have a team of 15-20 writers trying to write a single show with continuous storylines that have to play out over a series of weeks, it does become that difficult.

For real. All that lame pandering for 9.99 is basically being seen by the people who either already have the network, or are watching Raw/SD every week. The WWE is full of idiots I swear.

I agree that the $9.99 marketing campaign was extremely stupid, annoying, and in the end, counterproductive.  Everyone already knew the price.  And no one ever argued that it wasn't a good value.

To me the issue is that everyone who already wants more WWE content is paying for the Network.  I really don't think there are that many more people out there that want to PAY for additional WWE product that don't feel they get enough from Raw and Smackdown.  If the PPVs meant something, that would change.  But they don't mean anything.  People will buy for one month in January and one month in March/April, but outside of that, I don't see a whole lot of incentive for most people to pay WWE for more content, even if it's only $9.99.
