Jay-Z Or Nas? Vol. Complex

Nas is a better mc PERIOD
If nas cared about all the fame he would be richer than jay
But u can tell just by his vibe and whole demeanor he cool just being him
And putting out music that is RELATABLE
He just enjoys the art of music
It's not really a business to him
Jay it's different
Bum as snake that he is

LMAO- This is really a dumb statement. How would he? You assume Nas is more business minded than Hov because he can rap better? Also the Beyonce factor has made Hov so much more likeable to a wider branch of audience and people..aka White America.

What I mean is that nas doesn't seem to care for that kind of stuff
Some people are happy with having just enough money to be comfortable
Some don't feel like they need all the money in the world
Get what I'm sayin
Like he ain't trippin off that
And he must make some kind of money for him to still be giving Kelli's that type of money from their divorce
Dude just one of them not needing the limelight type of dudes
That's all I'm sayin
And to be REAL
JAY made a comeuppance ONLY because dame did his thing with rocawear and built rocha fella roster
Both which jay sold later to make a profit
That live nation thing well was all jay but bet u they don't reup on that deal
Jay starting to show his age
While nas still spitting like he in his prime :pimp:
Not to mention jay a sellout and exploits us while rarely dropping jewels
While nas drops gems all the damn time
And I know duece gonna have SOME type of rebuttal
So please just don't call me champ
**** gets on my nerves and is so damn condescending
I'm tryna have a civil argument or discussion rather
So can u at least show me the respect to not call me champ
Thanks in advance if u hold up to it

Nas man
JAY has put out sub par albums with the exception of AMERICAN GANGSTER after 04'
JAY is out of touch with the Black Community period
Let's Not forget about "EITHER"

How many times does this topic have to be done?

Do you have constant comparisons of cake and ice cream?

Why can't you like both?

Jay makes better music & nas is the better mc
They are my 2 favorite rappers and I agree wholeheartedly with this statement.

Jay's discography is superior as he has more albums that have higher replay value but Nas has the best hip-hop album of all-time IMO.

I just think this "argument" has been overdone. Who cares?! They are two of the greatest ever and are still relevant in the genre which is great. I enjoy both for the great artists that they are.

As the word "champ" applies to YOU, I say it not to be condescending to you specifically but if it truly bothers you that much (I have no idea why) I'll try my best not to use it towards you if you wish to have a civil argument..........but no promises champ my man

.

Now let's get down to business.  You said "What I mean is that nas doesn't seem to care for that kind of stuff Some people are happy with having just enough money to be comfortable".  What makes you think Nas doesn't care THAT much about money, and if that truly were the case why isn't he doing more free live shows instead of charging fans at the door?

Also, make no mistake about it my friend, I and others would not seem to care about that kind of stuff too if we didn't pay taxes and decided to go the Nas route as it applies to the IRS.  If I decided to not pay for my local roads and schools like Nas by turning my back on the government I would have more money on hand and not seem to care that much about money or be extra comfortable like you portray Nas to be.  I and other law-abiding citizens didn't do that though, we decided to go about things the right way legally speaking and do what is asked of us as American citizens.

Which is why we don't have to worry about "the IRS crawling up our ******* *** with a microscope" like Axel Foley said to the white guy in the bond warehouse that claimed he didn't own the Porsche in Beverly Hills Cop.  Your boy Nas on the other hand can't say the same.  As the saying goes my friend, pay me now or pay me later.  Nas for whatever reason decided to pay later, and since he is paying later he has to pay more than before.  Makes me wonder if YOU @nawghtyhare  pay taxes.  I might have to conduct an audit on you champ my man.

It counts bruh, it counts

As I've stayed before. Jay Z is great at every aspect of rap. And that's what makes him a better rap.

Are their places where Nas shines more than Jay? Yes. But overall, he has more shortcomings.

Don't disagree that Nas' has albums with High Replay value but IWW (althought I know how much NT overrates this album), SD (disc 1 I Agree but Disc 2 is so weak so no) and Untitled. Albums with good song but as ALBUMS they don't have high replay value to me.

It doesn't matter anyways. Like I said this comparison is so tired.

Nas was a true MC, jay gave us reasonable doubt and just kept it moving.

Jay Z gave us that easily digestable music, just package it and release it

I dont listen to either of them anymore.

but if youre ever in a club, they will always play some big pimpin, etc. and some NY special cheesy ish they will play some empire state of mind.
