BORDEAUX 7S JULY 18th 2015

So because I got into shoes in jan that means I jump on the bandwagon?
a true lover of sneakers doesnt "get into shoes" …its something you've been naturally passionate about (without any influence of society and trends) as far back in life as you can remember. its more of a trend / phase this generation is going through and will eventually grow out of since they have no nostalgic value of any of the retros. this is purely my opinion and not meant to take shots or hurt any feelings.

as for the bordeaux i think its too soon to drop these again…my 2011 is still in nearly perfect shape after many wears…and when they dropped it was still not as crazy as it is these day with kids jumping on the train and buying every release just because they see everyone else doing it. they didn't even sell out instantly around my way in 2011. I'm sure they will this time around.

how would someone be into sneakers if there isn't an influence from society? That doesn't make sense because there has been something from society that got us into sneakers which is why we all on NT :nthat:

u missed the point …. obviously EVERYTHING in life has a societal influence, but there is a difference between the kid who grew up not giving a care about whats on his feet or sneakers in general to suddenly deciding "I'm a sneakerhead now and I'm going to start buying shoes that everyone else wants" because they see that all of the kids at school or on instagram are doing it. kids be treating sneakers like pokemon cards and just another means of trying to "flex"..i dont really care either way, the point of my post was to illustrate my view on the difference between someone who is passionate about sneakers no matter what the current trend is as opposed to the followers who just wanna fit in and be cool with their "retro jordans"

No I see what you are saying. I've alwyas liked sneakers but I couldn't get them till I started working a part time job. But I've never been one to care what other people do with their kicks to either flex on others or to sell I've always worried about what's on my feet but it's good to see you are passionate about kicks too man

but I'm out of school, don't use Instagram and got into shoes because of the trailer blazer kamikaze 2s. But guess I'm just a hype beast still huh?

I still remember copping these back when they dropped last time. Copped off a reseller for $175 off Craigslist. Met up and was almost sick since he didn't have a 8.5 but needless to say he told me they ran big and let me try em on with the plastic bag underneath of course lmao. Copped my 8 and rocked them when I went out to parties or family outings. I made a mistake and rocked em at a rooftop party and that scuff sealed the deal. sold em a couple months after when I started copping more runners.

My fav. Part about this show is the random coloring of the tongue and the homage payed to Michael Jackson :smokin

Charcoals would be cool.. Always liked em more than raptors bc of the 2 tone..

Honestly this sounds dumb as hell and doesn't matter in the slightest. :smh: One doesn't have to have been passionate about something since childhood (Whether it be shoes, basketball, or a certain type of music) to come to value and appreciate it; this can happen at any point in life. What's more, the original statement didn't even make sense, as he stated he wasn't able to afford them the last time they dropped. Yet somehow he's jumping onto a bandwagon because he didn't have the money back then? That's something that has to do with a financial situation, not any type of passion or knowledge about the item itself. The two concepts don't intersect at all, so the conclusion you came to is illogical. Furthermore, you're making quite a few assumptions about a person you don't even know.

" there is a difference between the kid who grew up not giving a care about whats on his feet or sneakers in general to suddenly deciding "I'm a sneakerhead now and I'm going to start buying shoes that everyone else wants" because they see that all of the kids at school or on instagram are doing it."

What in his statement implied this is what happened to him? I'll answer for you, not a damn thing, as he again simply stated he didn't have the money to purchase these a few years back. He didn't even go into why he didn't have the money, merely stated that he was younger then than he is now, which applies to everyone on the planet. Yet from his statement you were somehow able to determine when he began buying/collecting shoes, why he began doing so, and have been able to determine that there is only one possible way for people to be "real" shoe lovers, which apparently requires them to have been wearing Jays in the cradle. :rolleyes You can keep all that judgemental nonsense to yourself.

OK 3yrs later and you still don't have them hmmm? They sat around for awhile in some places. But now you "want to get them now" ok I hear you smh.

Technically it would be 4 years later 2011+4=2015

You have to factor in

1. Area

2. How much a person was making during two week pay

4. Other obligations to uphold before purchasing a pair of shoes

If they want the shoe let them get the shoe.

I don't understand why someone would be upset over someone wanting something for whatever reason. It's their money it's their feet,

Just be happy for the person because they're happy and move on with your day

Because it's not like there aren't literally hundreds of other Jordans and shoes he might have wanted to spend his money on right? Not like he might have some type of a budget in terms of how much he can or is willing to spend right? It can't possible be that he had other priorities either right? Lord knows he couldn't have just been waiting for them to release again, because if a shoe's around we all just buy the old version when we can and don't worry about a new one right? And heaven only knows that it certainly couldn't be a combination of any of these or numerous other factors. But you must know perfectly well, because you know his life right? :rolleyes

Like I said, your statments are illogical and seem to be nothing more than you attempting to look down on and judge someone, for no discernible reason besides wanting to.

As Chill Bill Chill Bill said, instead of trying to do all of this you could simply let people spend their money how they like, and be happy for them.

Let's also stop acting like the Bordeaux's are a shoe that will get a lot of people on the "bandwagon". They're not Royals, they're not Infrareds, and they're not Breds. There's a reason this thread isn't popping.

I remember when these dropped in 2011 and people were boasting about getting to pick their pairs cuz of the tongue patterns and people claiming they have green in them

i hope this time tho they make it full durabuck but judging by the black infrared they wont

i had the ogs and im pretty sure it was full durabuck

my 2011 retros are a bit fuzzy on the toe and that wasnt the case on my ogs

Damn man, all word was pointing to a fall release. Guess I'll have to be passing.

Credit goes to the name on the picture, obviously.

EDIT: FALSE ALARM. Figured it wouldn't hurt to leave the picture up though.

Looks like the 7's releasing on 2/7/15 say 'girls'.

I caught that too, plus the colorway is off. His track record was strong enough to where I was ignoring my own damn judgment

The ones on that manifest are these:

How come resale is so high on these if no one really cares for them? Personally one of my favorite js.. something about that 2 tone cw on 7s look so clean. Its a toss up between these and my dmp charcoals (which I think should retro in the year of the 7s too) wasn't able to cop the 2011 due to monetary reasons so ill be going after these
